Great pic Ade,

You look in good shape given the major surgery just days before, so hope you are soon back up and about

Cheers for your encouraging posts, they are a great help to me, and mean a lot as we have both been on and off this forum for a while

Thanks for the kind supportive posts GT, Sandra and Weldy.

Recovery progressing nicely with a few short walks, couple of staircase walks, breathing exercises and all my physio exercises to complete. Afraid that the nightmares will just not go, so I'm managing about 3 hrs sleep a day......not an ideal way to build stamina when you can't sleep properly!!

Phoning the hospital later today to see if my nightmares may be to do with some new medication that I am on..

Keep strong all

Ade

Hi Adeee,

With what you have been through (It was a big op) not. Surprised you are having bad dreams;)) and medication can make it worse,

Hope Doc sorts you out quickly with this, but until he does, please take this recovery one day at a time, (you have had a big op)

Sending you thoughts of sweet dreams tonight, where you don't dream at all, lol.

If not I may have to knock you out with my gamcare broomstick ohh, and neither of us would want that lol.

Seriously Ade, try and chill, and rest, you have done the hard work now,

Take it easy,

Suzanne xxx

Hi Ade

fella great to see you looking so well after your major op...your nightmares will soon pass Ade..6 years ago my beloved had a mastectomy and chemo after being diagnosed with breast cancer, post op for a couple of weeks she had terrible nightmares, so much so she was scared to go to sleep..after consulting with her surgeon and oncologist they both said that the nightmares were more likely to be a result of trauma from the surgery rather than any reaction from the chemotherapy or other drugs..true enough after a few weeks the Bad dreams faded...and thanks to our wonderful NHS and fantastic medical staff, and lots of fighting and determination on her part she's made a full recovery and today is in rude health 🙂

Ade We have to be very careful when we go "metrosexual" because those WAGS (the witches @ gamcare) are ready to pounce....don't they make recovery fun...keep on that steady recovery road mate ..OAU..Ginger

Go Sister you tell em..seriously Ade I'm hesitant to admit to those WAGS how much I truly spend on 'snail cream' to dab under my eyes (you must dab, never rub, that stretches the skin ;-)) ..money well spent, unlike punting :-/ ...be careful when picking a fight with Juuuune...remember she was more a fan of the " A-Team" than "Hart to Hart" or "The Loveboat" ...all the best Ade..OAU..Ginger

Thanks Gazza, Sandra, Juuuuunne, Suzanne and Ginge (all my loyal supporters!) for your kind supportive posts.

Getting into this recovery of a different kind very slowly. Do actually feel great today, despite having my sternum wired together in 6 places. So much so in fact, that I posted a picture from lunchtime today. Lost a few kilos, but on the mend. The sternum takes fully 90 days to repair itself fully....I am only on Day 12, so it will be a long slog and one I tend to embrace. Whether it be physio, exercise, walking, relaxing, sleeping, etc. I just gotta do it.

As for gambling. What the f**k was that all about anyway. Just a sad distraction that took away some good years of my life. But it did not beat me.

Keep strong all

Ade
