Hi Everyone

My Story

So in 2009 I won 100K on a scratch card lost my mum 2 ears later to cancer and became addicted to gambling. I was greedy I wanted more and more. Now all my money has done due to stupid gambling and before I lose my family I need to stop completely. So here is my attempt to stop.

I have started today and so far so good, not really had an urge to gamble or even look at anything to do with it just got to keep going. My god I feel a much better person today than I have done for years!!!!!!!!!

I am going to stop this time before its too late!!!

Hello Jeff

Never really been a lottery gamer but i'm an addict and know how easily it would be to start it

Perhaps get some help, speak to gamcare on phone or netline see how they can help you

hang in there

One day at a time mate, every day without a gamble is a win. More wins you get then the the richer you will become! Peace

Lenny

Thanks a lot guys. my problem was with horse racing and football mainly. Used to be casino but I managed to completely give that up after losing thousands of pounds. I now see that as a stupid game and would never ever go in a casino again.

Want to do the same with all other forms of gambling now.

Jeff

fella welcome

your story reminded me of a joke I used to tell myself often.

'how do you make a compulsive gambler a millionaire ??'

Start him a billionaire.

The funds we gamble with are just the fuel to feed our compulsion, given the opportunity addiction will do the lot and whatever it can get it's dirty little hands upon.

Embrace recovery,by admitting you are powerless to the hands of gambling is a huge step

Build upon that

Abstain and maintain

Duncs stepping forward never back
