Day 80 gamble free,

Having been away for a week in a safe place where there is no opportunity to gamble I am now back and urges come back again accompanied by several danger spots. Even arriving back at the train station you are immediately given the opportunity to gamble, it plants the seed in your mind, reminder to self DO NOT WATER THE SEED!

Have to keep this going target is today that is all, one more gamble free day that is all I am ever going to aim for.

Day 83 gamble free

hanging in there with urges and demons floating around, but now I am better equipped, before it felt like I wandering around aimlessly dressed in thin clothes and nothing to defend myself with.

Now I can stride about in a full set of armour, I am still sometimes weak from carrying it around but the size of the suit means I can't get into any bookmakers and also I am too easily recognisable as I am self-excluded.

Keep strong Paulds you know those urges are only natural, as gambling was a massive part of our life's, a horrible part but a big part none the less. You know what it takes to keep striving on and you know that the gambling world offers nothing good.

Great to have you on the thread. We've both had slips in the past but we keep battling away. Hopefully the thread will keep us focused and give us what need to put up some big gamble free numbers. Roll on first check in time!

Day 89 gamble free

Feels good to say it but my new target is day 90 that is all, bean by bean the sack will be filled.

Thanks for the post Dave, great news about the thread, never managed to complete a gamble free thread before but determined to do it this time.

Stride on, stride on past those open windows

Day 101 gamble free.

Really happy to reach the century and each day I have gamble free is a day I have regained for myself and those around me.

I have been working away again and it is great to spend a day without a gambling urge passing through my body. Life can be awful but when I lay in bed a night I smile as another day is in the bag. I slipped last year after 100+ days, determined not to do it this time, it would kill me. I have to do it this time, I will do it this time, this is the one.

Day 105

Days until debt free 901 (counting down from 1460).

Tick tock gamble free, only target is tomorrow that is all. Still have urges everyday but they get less intense. Still put myself in dangerous situations such as watching some sport in the bookies. IDIOT! looking around I saw some horribly sad, depressed, frustrated and hopeless faces which is exactly how I felt when I used to gamble.

Going to put myself in safe places now I don't want to take risks.

The song below sums up my addictive feelings about keeping faith, about how we suffer but with hard work and belief things will get better.

Hi Paulds.

So very well done on reaching 100 days + you really are building that armour this time. What ever you are doing its working, keep at it .

It goes to show that no matter how many times we may fall down as long as we get back up there is always hope.

Keep enjoying your recovery, you have earns it.

Take care

The treble figure club. I need to be there. That is the place to be. The place to be ain't the bookies - be careful! Your doing great though. We gonna bash through this 90 day challenge and I know how good it's gonna feel for the both of us.
