Hello to anyone reading this and happy Friday. The film is quite representative of recovery as sometimes it feels like being inside a different person and a different life.
So I would like to challenge anyone in this utterly amazing community to do some things today. All of them cost nothing and I would love to hear how they make you feel.
1. Look out for a butterfly. Don't bother it, just watch it until it flies away
2. Take your shoes and socks off and walk barefoot in grass for five or ten minutes. Concentrate solely on your feet and the feel of the grass on them
3. Sit under a tree and do absolutely nothing. Have your back against the tree and just listen.
4. Write down the good things in your life today. Either keep them to yourself or post them on here.
5. Go on YouTube and search for a ten minute guided meditation and do exactly what the guide says.
6. Find a rose, must be a rose and smell it
7. Whatever weather you have where you are, go outside for five minutes or more and really feel it. Don't think about anything but the weather
8. During today they and so something for your community. Doesn't have to be big. Donate something to charity, give a homeless person a pound, give a busker a pound, pick up some litter, just one small good deed
9. Ring someone in your family or a friend for a chat. Not a WhatsApp message actually ring them
10. Read something. Just a page of a book or a page on a website.
