Well Steg,

It would seem that the drugs are also rendering you quite dillusional. Not only did Kim ( of the Bassinger category) promise me.. yes ME.. that she would only accept My string vests through the post, and that any others would be disgarded with the contempt they deserve, but also... after some weeks of cajouling I might add, she is now accepting my M & S specially crinkled standard fit white polyester underpants.... with or without velcro "y" front aperture adjustment. She is My Kim... she will always be My Kim.

On a more boring note... it is good to read your positive words, and thank you for your support over the past few days. It has been very helpful and given me focus when at times I felt I was losing it. I am planning on getting some new golf shoes as a commitment to my.."choosing life, choosing golf". Thanks again mate.. really appreciated.

And good luck in the competition... the fishing one.. not the KB one... you already lost that one mate... she's here with me now.

Good Luck

Jon

Good luck with the fishing Steve, hope the leg holds out and doesn't trouble you too much. Way to go for bypassing the gee gee's form, it is great how it is such an insignificant thing now. Your mindset is brilliant.... keep it up, its a huge help to me and many others on here.

All the best

Cameron

Thank you fellow posters you're all lovely and a delight to know. Well, tonight I came third in my fishing match, I'm ecstatic about this because I'm rubbish. Yet it just goes to show what you can achieve with a bit of determination and tackle. Day 71, is that a prime number? I think so, let me see, wait, yes, yes it is. Well I'm definitely not going to gamble today then I'll be too busy buying pop (1970's terminology) and crisps for tonight's match. COME ON ENGLAND!

Had a thought while fishing tonight about all the gambling advertising festooning the football matches. Initially I was peeved and angry. Then I thought, well, as long as I don't gamble from watching them, then the bookmakers have spent money to watch good games for free! Their money through advertising pays to allow me to watch it. I laugh at them now and say 'thank you suckers!' as long as I don't gamble I'm pinching their pockets, they're spending their money on me, I'm a winner. Alas, then I thought its not their money it's just another poor punter's 'hard earned' being recirculated to entice others into their evil clutches. On this sour note I quickly returned to fishing and dreaming about sunshine.

Tight lines everyone, Steve.

wooo hooo.. 3rd place eh... brilliant for someone who is rubbish, i think you need to rethink that statament.

Well done ste you must be overcome with emulsion . 🙂

I am a bit worried about Jon, kim was round last night and as you know he hasnt posted this morning, i think now she knows we know she is a old s*****r and doubles as that women in benidorm she could be boiling bunnies and enacting the scene out of misery Ouch!!!!!

Your so much better off without her, you have micky and your shuttlecock to keep you warm oh and the houseplants.....

I hope the tattoo removal isnt to painfull but then i suppose that depends where they are.

If people havent seen the previous post im sure they will think that i should be sectioned immediatly lol

Blondie you are funny. Jon is welcome to Kim, I'll always have my 'moments with Mickey.' a stolen afternoon filled with joy and laughter.

No intention of betting today. Feeling good, why would I want to ruin that?

I'll go for a swim, try to time it just right to avoid 'pensioner aerobic classes.' it's like Cocoon III with all those geriatrics jumping about waving their arms in the air to the booming sounds of 'Dance music of the 80's.' I spend all my time diving for and returning dentures and the odd floating hairpiece. I'm not even going to mention the colour of the water down their end. But we all have to get 'jabs' from the doctor when we leave the pool. Despite this I'm glad for them and were all going to get old sooner rather than later.

Going to watch the match later with Maisie, my daughter. Promised her pop and crisps for a good memory (I have a similar memory watching 1977 FA cup final with my Dad. Nuts and lemonade, cheering, shouting, alas we lost despite a Jimmy Case wonder strike), good memories are important. This is why it's vital we don't gamble. Gambling is like Groundhog day, same routine, day in day out, no memories or at least only bad ones. Gambling robs you of diversity, (not the dance troupe) it stops you living, institutionalises you and prevents you from doing so many things.

Today I choose not to gamble, keep strong Steve

Hi Steg,

Did I say Kim Bassinger..( that old dog )... nooooooo... I meant Kim Bassingwa.. she's the daughter of a nigerian former major in the Army, who somehow got his hands on £50,000,000 and is willing to deposit it all in my bank account.. Whooopee.. she was round..(very) ... that's who I was refering too... and I have the tatoo ( in full) to prove it.

I also enjoy reading your "philosophies"... they are very true. You are so right about the memories. It is difficult at times, even without the affliction, to create those memories with your loved ones. One assumes it would cost too much money, and yet it is not what you are doing... it is who you are doing it with, that creates those memories that stick with you for a lifetime.

Thanks again.

Jon

Ewww remind me not to go swimming round your way! Loving the banter on the forum lately... it's so good to see people retaining their sense of humour when it could so easily be the opposite!

Have a great evening with your daughter... let's hope England help to make some special memories...

Stay strong!

Morning,

Was not sure if those were your teeth you were diving for ?

(you do cut yourself as such a fine figure of a man , maybe I will come back as owl , then I can keep my beady eye on you and your shinanagins. )

Fantastic news re the fishing, maybe it was the insect repellent the fish were attracted to , rather than the fairys magic .

Did you have twigglets are your retro themed evening of delight, because if not I have no doubt that you would have awoken this morning thinking there was something missing but not quite able to put your finger on it. Always here to help ......

Good night last night, nice memories. Feel sick this morning. Overdid it on the pop, crisps and jellies. Definitely went overboard, like, well like a kid in a sweet shop I suppose. Never again, Maisie loved it but she would, she must have been a wasp in her past life, she always hovers around sugar. Spent all morning forcing her, through her sugar hangover, to make me a Father's Day card. It wasn't easy but after enough barracking she relented. Felt great after that, I'll put it in the draw next to all the other 'forced' cards. Good job my love is unconditional and I've got a hide as thick as a rhino. Day 72, weather awful, not a day for hats. Not going to gamble today. Pain gone down in back/legs which is fab. My gait is still a little unnatural but I'm pleased nonetheless, drugs and physio all the way. Going to go for a walk later in the nearby countryside, see how far I get. I'll have to lie to Maisie and say we're going clothes shopping otherwise she'll never come, she'll thank me for this one day, but not today.

All is good, content, insulin depleted but I'm still here and smilin. Take care all, get through the day and try to find a reason to smile, if only the once. That'll carry you a long way.

Steve.
