Another week under my belt. Day 200 and odd, lost count for a change. It's been a really enjoyable week, some weeks are like that, happy, lots of energy, spring in my step. Whereas some weeks it's the opposite, and you feel rotten. Life I suppose, transient. Maisie and her friend are having a sleepover here tonight. No trouble at all quite chilled actually, they're playing Moshi monsters till I bark bedtime, anytime soon. Dance something called gangnum style or something like that earlier, damned nearly killed me. We made some pottery with clay then watched Mean Girls. Tomorrow we going swimming then something to eat for a treat, then my paternal duties will cease for a few more days. Thank goodness.

I read with interest Shiny's post the other day and its a common theme on this site concerning people swapping addictions and generally having an addictive personality. I for one have got an extremely addictive personality but to be honest I don't really care too much. I've learned to love myself and not be too hard on myself. I do have to protect myself from myself from time to time but that's a small price to pay. I'm a poo drinker so I could never abuse the booze. Drugs played a huge part of my adolescence but I eventually gave that life up and although all my friends still dabble I've rejected that life now for almost 20 years. I try to have positive addictions now although I'm aware that these can be just as isolating and in some ways damaging. When I get into something I really get into something and I do it with a passion. Yet I'd rather be me than 'normal' everyday people, that type of bland, day to day existence would kill me. I like the highs, the lows, the uncertainty. It's my personality and as I said earlier ive finally learned to love myself, I'm me, unique, a one off just like you.

Better go and pretend to roar at those two, its way, way past their bedtime.

Bye for now.

Day 220, personally all going well. All my fatherly duties done for another week. Going to go to a car boot soon, then gym, then the worst part of the week, ironing and housework. Could easily live in filth and unkempt clothes but I know deep down society would frown on me. I hate peer/society pressure, I want to rebel but nobody would listen or follow a leader with hard egg stained shirts wearing two week undies.

On a serious note there's been quite disturbance on this site in the past couple of days. It's not nice when an individual or individuals are singled out to be targeted in a negative way. In some ways it would be easier if it happened to oneself rather than others because it's easier to handle. Nevertheless I think she did well dealing with the situation. Anything can distract us from being focused, it can come in many varied guises yet we must not lose sight of the bigger picture and what brought us here. What really pleases me is how all the good people on this site always rally round in such situations, there really is strength in numbers. Therefore whenever an individual leaves you questioning humanity the greater good of people quickly reinforces your belief that this can be a kind and loving world. I like to think that it gives me hope and keeps me happy.

I'd better go or all that useless tat will be snapped up by another individual in unironed trousers.

Mornin Steve

Another new day and hopefully a more settled day on this site , its amazin how one individual can cause so much disruption but like u say there is a real togetherness on this site and we all rally round and help each other out , neither really surprised me I think from time to time this sort of thing will happen all we can do is deal with it help and support but most importantly not let it affect our own recoveries

Av a great day sounds like a mixed bag of fun but as we both know it could be a lot worse !

Take care

Just got back from the car boot, lovely morning, I was seriously good and bought no one else's rubbish. Popped in to see my mum, she's sweet, nearly 74 and still active, bought her a cake. Set her up with an exercise program to keep her in shape, active and supple, it's called 'my ironing and washing.' Well, I never asked to be born did I? She's a lovely woman with a great sense of humour and a heart of gold. She's slowing down a bit now so I have to wash my car, which is not always ideal. Ran her to the shops, she likes getting out, I'd walk around with her but she refuses to be seen with me sporting this jet black Hitleresque wig, so I'm waiting in my car. Glad anyway, last time I was in with her, her denim elasticated skirt fell down over her granny boots leaving her laughing so much she started to break wind uncontrollably all over the shop. She's back, better go

Evening,

Sounds as though we have something in common, dumping our ironing onto unsuspecting women. My nan loves ironing, seriously she enjoys it. Strangest hobby I ever came across but it's advantageous for me.

Great to see you still powering forward. Appreciating those things which actually mean something in life. A true asset to this site and one I believe will be here for a long time to come.

Like to get to work early, usually with the caretaker, like to be prepared, then I can relax. Had a great dream last night, I like great dreams. Lovely walk in the countryside where I discovered freshly dug soil. The soil was nice, very peaty, the type you use for bedding plants etc. anyway a secretary popped upped from behind some tree and said I shouldn't be here, undetered by this I gave her a good kiss on the lips but because I haven't kissed anyone in my dreams for donkeys years so we clashed teeth, rubbing my mouth and confused I woke up. If Russell Grant is reading, what does that mean? Anyway that's all for today, everything is sweeter than ice cream and just for today I've decided I'm not going to gamble.
