Morning Diary ..... Day 75 for me today and glad to say still gamble free, things are going along nicely at the minute but always on my guard as i know how quickly things can change, plenty of regret remains but am trying to look forward and not to dwell to much in the past , know things will get better for me the longer i can stay without a bet.
75 days is tremendous Chartom, I am pleased things are ticking along nicely for you, a day at a time and we'll soon be into the Spring and Summer and options will be wide open to us, it's no good in the winter, you can't plan anything or go outside when it is constantly raining. We're all doing so well and you are not far away now from the big 100!

Day 77 .... the weekend again when i do find i struggle the most but will try and keep myself busy and my mind on other things, have been here before so know i need to be always on my guard but the blocks i have now in place are doing there job, without them i know i would definatly have been back to day 1 again ..... just seem to be plodding along with life right now and remaining gf is my main priority at the minute ...... wishing everyone on the diaries a good weekend.
Day 78 .... been a tough weekend with constant thoughts to gamble on the football,so glad my blocks are doing there job i would really be lost without them,really dont want to undo all my good work but know some days will be better than others, just a matter of getting through the bad ones unscathed, still a case of one day at a time.
Well done for getting through the weekend mate. It is tough some times but you've done what you needed to. Hope you have a bit of an easier evening. All the best for the new week.

In time to come I think the urges will get less as we get stronger. However it may still be lurking in the shadows so I suppose we will always need to be a bit careful. Wishing you a good week...stephen
Day 80 ...... feeling alot better within myself again after the weekend when i had constant thoughts to gamble , will just have to accept that these thoughts will rear there head now and again and try and deal with them best i can. Know i can go for long periods gamble free as i have done so in the past but do question weather i can never gamble again, probably best not to look to far ahead and take each day as it comes i suppose ..... just for today i wont gamble.
Hey chartom glad to see your doing so well and not giving into those footy betting urges,your not far away from the 100 mark,be proud of yourself for going so long just keep it going and keep fighting those urges pal.
Day 84 ..... feeling so much better than this time last week when i had strong urges to gamble all weekend, really starting to feel the benifits of being gamble free and know things will only get better for me the longer i go on.Enjoying the simple things in life again things i never payed much attention to while gambling, still very much a case of one day at a time for me and know tomorrow i could feel totally different but today things are all good ..... long my it continue.
Evening Diary ...... Day 85 for me today and everything going ok at the minute, still get urges to gamble especially at the weekend , but the blocks are doing there job when required. Can feel things gradually getting better for me and know the longer i abstain the better things will become.
Well done Chartom, the weekends normally = more time and temptation for most. As long as them blocks are in place you have some piece of mind. Gotta try fill that free time with something positive, make life away from gambling that little more fun. Have a good week mate.
Day 87 .... still very much gamble free, plenty of football on tonight and getting a few urges so thought i would pop on here and let of some steam,know these urges are always going to be there and its up to me if i act on them or not .... determind to keep making the right choices though some days are easier than others ..... the key for me is not placing that first bet then the second, third, forth etc cant follow,

Great to see your good progress. Nearly up the 90 day mark which is considered very significant in GA meetings. It shows determination, integrity and the courage to stand up for what is right.

Day 90 ........ just back from a short city break, something i would never have done while still gambling. There were 2 things that shocked me while away first the number of bookies and casinos i seen and the length of time there were open, some are open 24hrs (had no urges to use these as all my problem gambling was done online only). Second was the number of homeless people i came across on the streets which some of them are no doubt there because of the affects of problem gambling, this really hit a nerve for me and made me think how lucky i acually am, dispite my problems, to still have a roof over my head, food on the table, loving family etc.This has really given me extra motavation to stay on the right track ....
Day 92 ..... glad to get through another weekend unscathed, still very much on the right track, determind to smash through the 100 day mark and beyond.
