I did have a few half hearted attempts at quitting gambling in the past and then in November I stumbled across this place and have never looked back.

Not a big forum user in general and although there's a few I keep an eye i from time to time but rarely/never post on them but this place feels different feel like I found a new home and I'm on here religiously on a daily basis.

I would like to thank all the people that have posted messages on my diary it really is aprieciated and does help keep me motivated.

I am a shadow of my former self in a good way. I was always living on the edge desperate for the next win to cover the latest outstanding bill under pressure and stress almost 24/7.

Feel so much better in my self now at first I was really worried I couldn't watch the sports I love without it now I've found I'm enjoying just the same if not more without the stress involved. The only one I don't watch now is the racing.

The lads footy match was called off this morning due to weather so enjoying the 3 live games today bit dissapointed with the last min goal in the first one but will take it if liverpool can get the win.

Really excited bout the first leg of the pool semi final tonight 830pm start a real 50/50 game against a nice set of lads too.

Day 101

No urges to gamble at all today.

Great day yesterday enjoyed watchin the football brill results all round for liverpool close at the top now.

Even better result in the local pool league cup. Lost 1 of my 2 games played but my boys did me proud and we ran out 8-2 winners one foot in the final just need 3 games to get over the line next Sunday. In the other semi final the league leaders were 4-1 down but ran out with a 6-4 lead so remain likely final opponents.

Well done on getting that important 1 after the 0 lol.

Day 102

Just been reading through my paper ended up been drawn towards the footy fixtures tonight done a good job of avoiding them so far. Small urges occurred lil word in my head saying go on just a lil acca no intention of acting on it keeping strong.

Got a temp 4 week contract not worth a fortune but a bit of guaranteed money for a few weeks early 7am starts tho can't have it all.

Picked up a young student this afternoon got in car with an iPad with screen smashed to bits asked how have you done that? He was playing blackjack and lost so threw it against a wall soon knocked any urges out of me. Get the occasion person in who's had a win rarely do you hear the bad experiences.

True dat but even the wins lead to losses eventually! Glad that iPad got rid of those silly voices, coz that's all they are!

Good news with the contract...Regular work always a bonus in your world even if it is ghastly getting up with the sparrows :-0

I'm taking a break for a while but break a leg (well not actually break it obviously) in the pool & keep strong - ODAAT

Slightly disappointed I ended up checking through results last nite thinking most the favourites won prob would of won summat not had them thoughts for a while. A win would of turned into massive losses though so need to stop looking at fixtures and results again.

No urges today at the moment.
