Day 216

Hard horrible day yesterday and the last couple of weeks really.

Yesterday we gave her the send off she deserved with all family and her friends finished off back at her house where the 9 great grandchildren sent a message attached to a balloon up to her was lovely.

No thoughts of gambling during this time.

A fitting send off by the sounds of it 🙂

Thanks ODAAT for your post and support things haven't got any better this weekend if I didn't have bad luck id have no look at all.

My driver was in the car Saturday evening around 8pm and one of his back seat passengers opens the back door to get out and a car crashes into the open door. Couldn't believe it I'm pretty goosed rite now no money and no means of making money as the door is mangled and won't close. Will need to ring insurance in the morning and see where we go from here.

Hope everyone's weekend was more pleasurable

Still gamble free all tho I must admit the thoughts have crossed my mind.

FFS, that's Grrrrr...Sounds mental but thank goodness it was a car & not a cyclist!

Don't give into the crazy thoughts/Mr Gamble's lies...Despite what he may be trying to convince you of, he ain't gonna pay for that damage!

You will get through this - ODAAT

Thanks ODAAT managed to get a door from a scrap yard down south for 65 quid and was off the road for 4 days. My insurance will have to pay out for other car to be sorted n my insurance will more than likely go sky high again but hey that's for another day in December wen up for renewal. Like you said it could of been a lot worse.

Still gamble free and the urges have gone for the moment don't know where they came from.

My lad playing in an u10's footy tournament this afternoon in skelmersdale so looking forward to that today.

Have a good weekend everyone

Day 231

Still gamble free and soldiering on a few more urges than I would like but fought them off to date. Even occurred in my dream where I put a fiver on summat and lost I was so disappointed with myself was relieved when I woke up to realise it wasn't real

Hey Dave just flying by with a Hi 🙂

Those dreams are nasty...My heart almost leaps out of my chest when I wake up from them & even the relief of finding my days still intact doesn't slow it straight down!

Hope the little man enjoyed his tournament & Knight Rider is back earning his keep again now 😉

Keep winning - ODAAT

Thanks GT, Suzanne and ODAAT for your posts and support.

Day 246

Not been on here for a while still going strong just don't feel I need to be on here so much these days not ready to leave completely tho nor would I want to there's a great bunch on here who have helped me so much.

Yep ODAAT he loved it they lost the final on penalties unfortunately so they were a bit down thankfully he wasn't on the pitch at the end of the game to take a pen don't think my nerves could stand it lol.

Night driver is finding his feet and doing okay although now the local university has broken up for summer will be a lot slower.

We were flying high in the pool summer league top by a point then lost last week and dropped to 4th at the halfway stage still very tight at the top so all not lost.

Not many urges to deal with recently although I expect them to come thick and fast once the football kicks off again.

Thanks Suzanne for your post and continued support

Day 250

Another nice milestone reached today no urges to gamble.

Been enjoying the darts on TV this week just down the road from me in Blackpool wud love to go down there but much higher priorities at the moment.

Lots of shocks too so far making it a lot more enjoyable now I'm not losing my hard earned money.

Caught up with the bbc program I taped earlier in the week Britain at the bookies pretty disappointed with it thought it would show more of the bad side we can relate to but ended up more like an advert really.

Big game in the summer pool league tonight playing the league leaders currently 2 points behind with 7 games to play. They only lost once in the first half and that was to us so we need to repeat the trick or I fear my title dreams will be over.

Keep strong ppl

Thanks Suzanne, Casey and Balvaird for your posts and support.

Day 251

Another milestone passed onto the next one now.

Pool didn't go a to plan last night a personal success with 2 wins from 2 unfortunately wasn't backed up and ended up on the end of a 7-3 defeat. Would of swapped both personal wins for a team win but wasn't to be.

Big shock at the darts last nite my favourite Anderson departing not a good nite right behind Chizzy and Wade for the rest of the week now.
