Thanks triangle, GT and ODAAT for your posts.
Hope everyone had a brill Christmas and New year celebrations.
Did treat myself to 4 days off in a row over Christmas needed it was working way to hard then my bro did give me New Year's Eve to work so made up for it that way.
No ODAAT not made any decisions yet although I'm not particularly happy with the way things are panning out at the moment long days and not getting much time with my young family feel guilty but need to keep things ticking over.
Will wait till the insurance pay out then I'm gonna have to think very hard what's best for me going forward!
Still no thoughts of gambling feels really good.
Hi Dave,
great to read no gambling thoughts, even though you are somewhat at a crossroad with work at this time,
Being in recovery will help you to make the right choice for you and your family when the time comes, good that you have a bit of breather space before deciding lol.
New Yesr new choices, for the better lol.

Evening all hope your all doing well just checking in as its been quite a while.
Still no thoughts of gambling and very little interest in it at the moment I'm sure my time will come so always on my guard.
Still driving my brothers taxi at the moment currently pricing up getting back on the road in my own right still some way to go though it's looking doable again.
A few of my old work mates have put me off the buses the grass isn't always greener as they say.
Missing my first Morecambe home game in about ten years tonight been a wild day and the conditions are awful it's hardly got the makings of a classic as Mansfield come to town. Getting a bit sick of the negative tactics we seem to employ so opting for the warm front room in front of tele watching liverpool's semi against Stoke
Hi Dave...Can't see the Mansfield v Morecambe games without thinking about ya! & as for my earlier prediction about Vardy...Ha, what do birds know about football 😉
Hope Kit's back & you're getting to see your loved ones a bit now? Couldn't imagine you as a bussie...You'll always be Taxi man to me 🙂
Thanks GT and ODAAT for your posts.
We must be Mansfield's best friend played em twice in last few weeks home the one I missed went 1 nil up with 5 mins left and lost 2-1 then played away last weekend also lost 2-1 missing 2 penalty kicks in the process.
Leicester and Vardy are superb really hope they hang on massive shock in world football that would be.
Still driving my brothers taxi at the moment although I have bought myself a Vauxhall vectra estate all ready to go just needs to pass the dreaded taxi test on Thursday. Will hopefully be back in my own car on Tuesday 23rd Feb.
Insurance is 4 times what it cost last year but will go down year on year if we don't have any more incidents nothing to lose now tho.
Had some terrible news this week with the passing of my brother in law sisters husband at the age of 46. Was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease around 38 and the last year or 2 he's had a lot of problems and this was expected doesn't make it any easier. He also leaves 4 young kids from 9 to 15 so is a hard time for the family at the moment.
Sorry to read your sad news Dave, keep strong my friend
Take care.
