Well done on 44 days taxi man.
It is tough at times fighting those urges;each urge beaten is another step up the ladder.

You've just gotta keep reminding yourself that any winnings are only gambling tokens.
You would never stop if you won,it's all false.
Whilst gambling there is a question mark over every penny you earn.

Keep off that merry go round, you can't win cos you can't stop.

Keep going strong TM.

Thanks for your message and support trigger really appreciate it.

Day 45

Your absolutely right any winnings would be a waste and a win would be the worst thing that could happen.

It's been a busy time over the festive period and I haven't been on here enough. Need to be on here daily reading thru diaries as that's when I was at my strongest will get back to that now the madness is over.

Day 46

Thanks Suzanne for you post and continued support. You support so many people on here so thanks for taking the time.

Feel better today much more determined and not tempted to gamble at all again. Still loved watching the darts and there has usually been an upset so am quite happy just observing at the moment

Hey Stranger, look how far you have come...Awesome 🙂

Do not slip now Taxi Man knocking @ the door to a half century! I guess in your line of work it's practically impossible to self exclude from every bookies that you pass? Given where you have found yourself recently however it may be worth putting some passport photos & a note where you keep your money so should your mind wander & you find yourself inside one, you will get those instead! Then you can fill out a self exclusion form instead of a betting slip (if they even exist anymore?) & walk away happy instead of anxious. Get back on here & find that determination - ODAAT

Day 47

Hey ODATT thanks for popping by my diary thanks for continued support you been the 1st to welcome me on here in the intros forum and yea have come along way over the last couple of months, the last couple of weeks have been a bit manic and when tonight's out the way I will have a lot more time to get back to reading this forum on a daily basis again. That's good advice and nice idea I will follow as you say it is pretty impossible as is restricting your access to money as we get paid mainly cash straight into your hand so we don't even have to get to a bank etc.

I did start putting £10 a day which was pretty much my minimum days betting into a can style money box when I started this diary and it is having the desired effect will currently stand at £470 and if I keep it up for another year will have around £4000 which is more than I would ever make by gambling. Between that and this site is the catalyst for what I've achieved so far.

Happy new year to everybody on here and here's to a betfree 2015.

Thanks Suzanne yea day 49 and still going strong feeling good today no thoughts of gambling at all at the moment feel the determination returning now the madness of the festive period is over.

Back to the weekend already just a short shift today to keep things ticking over and then back home again.

Come Monday morning I'm gonna have to sit down and have a look at my debts and sort plans to repay them. Got so many envelopes from unpaid bills I've been ignoring for far to long.

Thanks NT for the post.

50 not out today feels amazing to get the half century mind definitely focussed today and will not ruin a milestone so an easier Saturday for that reason.

It's just a start though a bit like cricket I've got myself in just need to hang around and convert it.

Off to watch my local football league side this afternoon then maybe to work although I do fancy seeing the first darts semi will surely be an quality match hope my fav survives for final tmoz nite. The world darts was something that I thort wud get me earlier in the diary and I'm proud of myself for resisting and can definitely say I haven't enjoyed it any less so it's another positive.

Have a great weekend
