Stuck in a terrible cycle for the last 2-3 months. Haven't been able to get out of it. Could really do with some support of how to get out of this rut. Am trying desperately to make tomorrow day 1

Come on hayestown, you know what you need to do.
Dust yourself down and get yourself back on track.
Put blocks in place. Analyse where it went wrong and why and look at what you can do to help yourself.
You can do this and do you know why? - because you're worth it!!! All good wishes x

So sad to see you have relapsed hayestown but glad your still with us . I remember so many times being in a positive frame of mind and 2 minutes later in despair because I'd blown it all again , it really is soul destroying. I wish you every success in your quest and echo what Little miss lost advised a few posts back. Never give up and don't lose hope .....stephen

Just caught up on your last few posts. I remember that awful feeling of despair, it hurts.
You have done so well to turn things around - 13 days gamble free is a great start on your road to recovery. Never give up. Keep building up your strength, taking it a day at a time. You can do this. You're stronger than you think. You deserve a better life. It's only achievable if we cut those gambling chains that keep weighing us down. X

Great to see your gamble free counts going up!!
It is sooo hard to admit to this addiction. We do it, yet we know how ridiculous we are when we really think about it. Mind boggling!
It's so much harder coping with it and trying to stop on our own with no support.
I went years not telling a soul and I'm sure that's the reason for me getting into so much debt.
If you really think there is no-one you can trust to talk to then I urge you to go to a GA meeting. Just being able to talk to someone who understands is massive.
Personally, I couldn't bring myself to do that but what I found helped me was to write emails to the samaritans. I could put all my emotions and feelings down, get it out of my system and know that no-one else would judge me.
The samaritans have no idea who's emailing them but they log past emails, therefore they know how you are doing and can reply with understanding. Granted you don't hear anything for a good few hours but by then, because you have put your feelings down on paper you're usually feeling a little better and not so alone.
Well, I think I've waffled on enough. Keep it up. You don't want gambling in your life. It's not good for your health. It's time to think about you, heal yourself, care for yourself and love the new you!! You can do it!! X
