I did not cycle to work today as it was pouring with rain and I have hurt my neck so cannot turn my head at the moment. Fortunately, I had £2.50 left on my Oyster card. I have lost a little weight over the last few weeks, but I have always been very thin so it is not very noticeable. I try to eat a big breakfast with several bowls of cereal before cycling to work. I have had to cut down on lunch as I could not afford it, which is why I am eating free mince pies and drinking water at the moment. I try to eat properly in the evening although the cupboards have been fairly bare for a while. However, it is payday today and I have some money in my account to buy food. Baby is due at the end of March - a massive expense - some of the pushchairs my wife has been looking at are over £800! Having said that, I used to blow a grand on a two-minute horse race without thinking about it. Fool.

Yes, it is ridiculous. I refuse to pay that much money. Will look at buying one second-hand.

My latest austerity cuts mean I cannot afford to buy replacement razor blades so am transferring from wet shaving to using an electric razor. I have an old one and I will charge it at work to save on my electricity bill at home.

How about the cheapest pasta and the cheapest past sauce?

You can make loads and keep them for lunch, etc.

And the fibre surely must be better than the two mince pies a day.

Please look after yourself, eh?

Today is going to be a gamble-free day. There is no doubt about it. I am exhausted after hosting a Christmas party last night and staying up to clean until 3am. I need to be out between 10.30am and 2.30pm today with no gambling opportunities. I then need to get home, do some hoovering and sleep. Could not think of anything worse than gambling.

Got through today with ease. Busy this morning and then met up with a friend in the afternoon. No time for gambling and no urges. This is a shocking time of year to bet on horse racing anyway. People are fools to bet on horse racing during December, January and February because of the terrible weather.

Nearly 50 days pelle

50 days mate!!

Bet when you started this run 50 days seemed like50 years away! But here it is and it probably flew by!!

You should celebrate on your 50th day with a drink or something, you don't need to tell anyone what the drinks for but go have one cause you will have earned it

Or a meal with the wife, something to remind you of why you are doing it all 🙂

Roll on 3 days more!
