Hope you're well, and being suitably fattened by your parents. Presume you're also still gamble-free!!

Regards!

Christmas has been busy and I have been surrounded by friends and family for the last week so have had no time to even think about gambling. I return to London today and am looking forward to getting my teeth into 2012. Finances are extremely tight but I am doing my best to reduce spending as much as I can.

Like you, I am looking forward to 2012.

Like you finances are really tight.

Like you, I am not spending on anything that I really don't need.

Together, we will complete this recovery journey. It's a marathon, not a sprint so one day at a time, eh?

GT

Back in London. Foul weather today. Hardly feels like Christmas at all. Rain, rain, rain...

I am looking forward to getting through 2012 without gambling and I am looking forward to Christmas 2012 in particular. My presents could have been better this year, but then again I was constrained by money. In fact, I was using the remains of my overdraft to fund Christmas having already maxed-out my credit card and run up a large gambling loan. I do not want a repeat of that next year.

I am feeling quite depressed at the moment: the Christmas celebrations are over, the cake is finished, the mince pies are finished, the presents are given/received, the friends have gone and I have left my family home and returned to London. All that remains is my debt and the grim reality of the return to work. Cold, dark, January mornings are looming large on the horizon.

Happy New Year. I am happily drunk and tired. God knows what the taxpayer had to pay for the excessive pyrotechnics on the River Thames in London earlier; I thought we were in the middle of a recession. Anyway, 2012 has finally arrived and I am looking to continue the good ground work of the last few weeks and increase the number of gamble-free days to my name day-by-day, week-by-week and month-by-month. My next target is 100 days without gambling.

Happy new Year

Well done on your gamblefree days so far..

Keep it going and the 100 will soon be within your reach..

I'm way back, but a fresh start never did anyone any harm.

All the very best with your recovery

I am in a bad mood today and my family have been irritating me. I just want to be on my own sometimes and get away from it all. Still, at least I have not gambled today.
