Had a wobble this week got really down after the slow progress with weight loss even tho I've been Training like crazy the last few weeks. Started to think what's the point but luckily came to my senses gambling wouldn't have helped anything. Changed my diet around and a good training session tonight and feel a bit better. Hopefully will see some weight loss on weigh in on saturday

Just checking in guys, day 141 still gamble free. No real urges and life seems a long way away from what it was last year. Long may it continue

Came seriously close to stopping at the bookies on the way home today, really unsure where the urge came from but had to really dig deep and battle not to go and gamble. Crazy really as I haven't though about it for ages, luckily I managed to pull myself round but thus has scared the life out of me as usually when this happens the thoughts are creeping back in. I don't want to gamble things are so much better and need to continue to be strong.

223 days gamble free and the first major sporting event event in the last 17 years which I have not placed about 500 bets on. Don't get me wrong I was tempted even dreamt about it last night but will just enjoy this event for what it is not what I could dream I could win. Hope you guys are all well

Well done crossintheroad. The urges will come and go what is important is if you do not place that first bet and allow the mayhem to ensue. Keep it up, 223 days is amazing. Enjoy the football for what it is, a game of pleasure not pain!

Good to hear from you, glad you are still GF, first WC with no bets for me too. I plan to enjoy this one for the pure love of the game.
