After 16 years of highs and lows I have finally admitted defeat! Gambling has ruined many of those years in so many ways.thats when I thought last mon after a big loss enough is enough its time to enjoy life without this s**t and support my wife to be next year and little daughter.thats my first 7 days bet free with a load more to come! Wish anyone that stops this horrible addiction all the best in the future.Cheers scottboy

Well done Scottyboy for starting a diary, these first weeks are always the hardest, so hang in there and be strong. You CAN beat this, keep posting and reading you will find it helps.

I too have suffered 16 years of this hell, time we reclaimed our lives for ourselves and for those around us.

all the best

Paulds

Hi Scotty,

Well done on 7 days gamble free that is a great start I hope you keep the same determination throughout. I have managed to keep the same determination. I am now 127 days gamble free. I think the biggest thing is wanting to give up gambling you can do anything if you really want it that bad so all the best on your journey mate this site is amazing for support.

Have you been on the chat on here yet? that is good too.

Kind Regards

Ricky

Found driving past bookies y,day and today hard as all football was on and tempting me in but looked at the bigger picture of being 2 weeks gamble free on mon and that was enough for me to drive straight past and home to enjoy the nite with my lovely fiancee and wee girl!

HI Scottyboy,

Keep that car driving in the right direction, as far away from gambling as you can.

You deserve a happy future and you can have one.. Keep making those choices.. Just for today no bet.
