Scotty

fella great to see your forefilling your time in productive ways, these early days are great for building resolve for the fight that comes. The honeymoon feeling will leave and then the battle begins, to which my friend i can feel you have a focus for.

You cannot change the past Scotty but each day you choose to poke the addiction in the eye you do gift yourself a better tomorrow. Your debt will lessen as oppose to adding to it.

Which is guaranteed what gambling will do.

There is a great feeling about the forum to which a portion of is down to you fella.

Recovery for me is to be enjoyed. Today i thank you for aiding mine.

Keep making the right choice.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Well done Scottyboy

It's said a lot in the early part of recovery but it's so true- Stay strong!

Believe in yourself, trust this site and the people on it to get you through the first few weeks so you can get some time to reflect on the damage gambling has done to you. It's hard staring yourself in the mirror and seeing the gambling fool looking back at you. We've all been there. You've clearly gained nothing from being a gambler so it's time to try another way. For a better life resist all temptation and walk a path to recovery. It doesn't happen over night so be patient with yourself and afford some time to come on here and read others diarys. It takes your mind off of the gambling and helps focus on what's really important. The diaries help so much. It's ok to be angry at yourself for the losses. You gave your money to those heartless bast**ds in the bookies. They don't care about your life or your well being but we on this site do. So stay strong, be positive and believe in yourself.

Good luck with your recovery. Time to walk a new path in life. Trust me the rewards are far greater than any short term gambling buzz you might get from a win. After all it's only stake money. You'll never get to keep it. It only ever goes back in the end. Keep your money in your pocket and your eyes on the real prize. We will support you all the way. Non gamblers are the real money winners.

G

Scottyboy.

Any win is for us a temporary loan from the bookmakers.

Or as a dear friend of mine says its bait.

The bookies bait The hook and we carry on fishing until we don't have anything left.

Abstain and maintain.

Enjoy each day the fact you are a winner.

Enjoy the true value of your hard earnt.

Duncs stepping forward never back.
