I've had a problem now for quite a while. Since end of high school. I keep saying I'm going to stop but I just don't to be stopping. I seem to gamble when I'm in debt. When I get out of debt I am good for a week then end up back in the same hole.
I want to put an end to it all. I keep saying ill do football bets and keep off roulette and keep stakes high but it doesn't happen. I want an end to it all
Any help would be really appreciated! It's my little secret and I want it kept that way. I'm very positive and determination is good but I just need a bit of help from someone.
When I gamble I really get side trapped and no one or nothing will stop me. And I'm not happy until I've lost it. I get greedy and go for as much as possible. I lose ВЈ5/10 on football bets a day. But I can put ВЈ600 - £1000 in the FOBT machines without even thinking. I go into another world. It's horrible and I want out of it
Thanks
Some on here think its possible to keep doing some types of gambling and stop others. I wish i could say i could. Spent long enough trying. My only way is stopping completely even what some might call harmless bets.
Have you given Gamcare a ring? They could talk you through some of the options.

Hi Fellas, you can do this make tomorrow the start of a new life.
Hi guys
Thanks for taking the time out to comment. All is appreciated.
Day 1 for us both scotty I have 30 days in my sight first.
Firstly I am going to sort my finance out and get out of this horrible debt. I've done a bit of research and I think the triangle seems to work for most people...
Time/location/money
Remove one of them from your situation and gambling is not possible. I've removed all my apps and online accounts.
I'm determined to make this my new years resolution. Not starting new year but starting now here as I write this.
Good luck everyone else
Hi bounceback, goodluck getting your financial side of things sorted out.the way i found things best last time i never gambled for 9 months was to take it 1 day at a time.every morning i woke up i told myself just for today am not going to gamble in any way.those days quickly turned into weeks then months.people like us can never win because we can never stop.hope you have a nice gamble free day,spk soon. Scottyboy
Hi
The triangle is essential for most people. If you don't already know, then you might also want to start thinking about what causes you to gamble - this can be the start of a process leading you to making changes which can lead to a rich and fulfilling life which simply did not seem possible before. That said, you might need to take it in small steps - as long as you are moving in the right direction.
Best wishes
Louis
Hi
Why do I gamble? Most of the time it's because I'm bored. I've 20 minutes to kill..... ВЈ10 on roulette won't harm the bank or the time. Then it turns into £100+ and me wasting more than 20 minutes.
It seems to be when I have spare money as well. If I have money well £100 won't harm my bank. Then I get in a bad situation and think we'll why haven't I any money.
Day 1 today. I'm taking a day at a time.
Day 2 over.
Had urges thinking about my debt and how I can quickly get rid of it. Roulette just £100 and test my luck?
But I've fought it off and put a plan in place to clear my debt within 3 months. Determined to get there. Here is to day 3 tomorrow and almost half a week.
Day 17!
Still going strong. Passed the bookies and hardly thought about gambling. No online accounts and not really wanting to gamble at the minute. Hopefully I stay in this positive mindset
