It's day 1.
I'm just back from the bookies. £200 lost which brings my week total to £2600. When you write the numbers down it seems unreal, but it's not. I really have lost this much and that's just this week. It's probably £10k through November and December. Yet tomorrow I will seriously think about finding a way to gamble again. I know I will.
But I've read a lot on this in the last few days and it seems to me that this is a great community of support and empathy. So I'm reaching out for help. I'm admitting I've a problem and this is the first step to stop. Tomorrow I'll do my best to stop and then I'll take one day at a time. I'll read other peoples diaries and I'll try to support others. I want to stop, and I believe I can...
