Thanks Smiler. Couldn't agree more about learning. Lesson for today; gambling is not the answer. Take care. Jx

J

First and foremost well done for finding the courage to be honest with yourself, I know it helps recovery more than anything else.

This is a journey for life, one which will test our resolve and addiction will always be present, as I believe you rightfully posted there is no cure. It is about how we deal with our addiction.

Recovery is bespoke, we have to find a way that works for us.

For me I learn every day.

Thanks for the post upon my own thread I am humbled by your words.

I hope your journey continues to better your being.

That for me is paramount.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Hi J,

Thank you for your support on my diary, I know I have just joined this forum again but I just wanted to say that I gave up just over a year with the help of this forum but I slipped off the wagon and did not really return until now, 7 years later. You identified straight away that you slipped and you dealt with the issue and are back here posting within hours. All I am trying to say is yes you had a slip but you dealt with it do not beat yourself up about and continue your recovery.

Take care,

LG
