I am stronger than I thought!

I am not a needy person but I could really do with some support 2day please.

I was so positive and then this morning my Grandad passed away I was very close 2 him and I am devasted my bf is trying 2 finish work early.

But I really feel like escaping 2 a machine.

It's been funeral after funeral I loved him soooo very much and it feels like everyone I care about is leaving. Why?

I am crying writing this, I need 2 stay strong but 2day is gonna be really tough.

So sorry to hear of your grandads passing, the last thing which will make you feel better at this point i am sure is finding a machine, you are an inspiration to us all on this site with your kind and inspirational words on here.

As you say today will be really tough but staying strong for your children and not giving into the urge today will help you in more than 1 way.

Charl I dont know what to say. I am deeply sorry to hear about your grandad. You have been through difdicult times and you are such a kind person you do not deserve to be upset. Escaping to a machine is only temporary charl it wont take away the pain and upset that you are feeling right now. You are a true inspiration here hun and we are all here for you. Please try to keep very strong and stay close to your little girl and family today they will keep you strong. Take care x

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandad. You know deep down that gambling is not the answer. Rather than gamble if you feel tempted give Maddison a big cuddle. Hold her tight and this will remind you what you are doing this for.

Hey Charl,

Deeply deeply sorry to hear of your loss! There are really no words we can say to help negate that loss but what we can say is the machine is definitely not the answer today! Just think of it like this, the machine MAY give you a brief escape from the Hurt you are feeling but once you have lost your money, the hurt will still be there and you will feel even worse knowing you have gambled! People that are close to you will need you to stay as strong as you can now! Dont hesitate to post here if you need to!

Thanks for ur support those that have posted 2 me 2day. It means a lot, I am drained at the moment and don't have the energy 2 post back 2 u all individually and thank u. As soon as I feel stronger I will.

I spent the day with my nan and mum 2day, I had 2 stay strong 4 them and Maddison made them smile a few times which was nice.

I would have always ran 2 a machine when nething bad happened 2 take me to my own world even if it was just 4 a little bit. But 2day I posted here. 2day I remained strong and that is progress.

My Grandad always told me how proud he was of me and I will never 4get the special times we shared and all the special memories I have. I know he would not have wanted me 2 waste my life by gambling or 2 be sad that he as gone. So 2day I will be thankful that u were in my life and cherish all times we spent 2gether. Gramps when Maddison was born u told me something, u said it doesn't matter if you could buy Maddie all the things in the word...... material things do not matter... give her all ur love and cuddles that is all she needs 2 be happy. U were rite Gramps, ur love was all we needed. I will love u 4ever... sleep tight xxxxxxx

Time is precious and I am going 2 try so hard 2 remain strong this time and not waste another second stood infront of a machine!
