Well, I have admitted I have a gambling problem. I have ended up approx 3000 in debt, and I don't understand how I let that happen. I have a good job and a lovely boyfriend and great friends so why I felt the need to gamble I do not know. I am very close to losing my boyfriend. He is angry that I have done this, and I don't blame him...how could I let myself get into this? But this is the start of something new. I have put my finances in order. I have asked my boyfriend to put a block on the router so I cannot access any sites (not that I want to now) and I have contacted a local charity that offers counselling. I will stop myself and I will mend my relationship...I just hope he can forgive me and support me on this journey. It begins here.

Hi bigb82 - Well done for admitting you have a problem and for seeking help. You sound very positive and it looks as if you have taken some sound steps to getting back to 'normality'.

Try to visit this site as much as you can because there is a wealth of goodwill and advice her to help you on your journey.

Remember you are not alone as we have all experienced similar feelings to your own.

Best wishes,

Joanna

Day 1 complete. The positivity is a bit of an act. I'm disgusted with myself but I am working to rectify the situation and need to build back the trust I had with my boyfriend. But onwards and upwards. Feeling good today.

I feel like a weight has been lifted since the weekend when I admitted my problem. I'm keeping myself busy, work helps! And I've started the 30 day abs challenge and included some squats to get my fitness up and I've increased my running. These things make me feel positive. An aim to keep me focused is what I need. Planning to enter a half marathon in September. Got to keep brain clean.
