Hi Carl

Glad to see you're still going strong. Thanks for the support- change is inevitable but what's more important is how its managed. Actually, looking forward now to the next "bit".

day 235

am right now i am feeling good, training is going well and i am feeling fit and healthy and ready for that first marathon, which coincedentally is now only 6 weeks and 5 days away. i am really finding this journey and the marathon training going hand in hand at the moment cos in myself i feel better so im in a better frame of mind to combat this journey also my time is being taken up by the training thus reducing time to spend on thinking or acting on gambling. i think it is dunc who always says about the triangle and take one away and its impossible and i totally agree with him there. i also have had people who i work with and people i deal with at work comment on how i have changed in last couple of months so i must be doing something right, and i have to say i have noticed myself that i am happier, more confident, healthier and generally enjoying life.

so heres to the newbies starting out read this post and realise that although its a long road if your willing to put in as much effort to quit as you did to carry on gambling then success is waiting

together we can all break the mould

Hi Carl,

Cheers for the recent posts. I have been a bit rubbish lately at keeping up with other peoples diaries. Amazing achievement to reach 240 days and having that marathon to focus on must surely help. Doing something out of the ordinary is pretty special and to do whilst not gambling adds something extra. Continue forward mate you are an inspiration to many others and a credit to this site.

havent been on for a while been really busy, but the good news i remain gamble free, the marathon is now only three and a half weeks away and the nerves are kicking in.i have been working late and spending some time with my family and friends when not working or training.

charlotte start making the milkshakes now cos i need quite a few before race day and can you change them to strawberry rather than chocolate lol

have good week all
