Hi Carl,

Thank you so much for the support

I really do appriciate it.

You really are doing so well. You are using your diary as a tool in your recovery............This is what works for some....me included!

As for pay day.........one day at a time!

I have had 2 pay days now....god the feeling is so so good to have not gambled a penny!

Have a great weekend!

well this is day 23

and the weekend is upon us, i havent gambled but i still seem to find the weekend the hardest part on this journey as im not at work, also tomorrow is start of football season so im slighty apprehensive as i reckon probably in my whole adult life there hasnt been a football season where i havent had a bet.................................................... UNTIL THIS ONE. i have already put the block in place for tomorrow as we know it is one day at a time, tomorrow i am off on a cycle as a part of the olympics locally they are opening up sporting events for free for you to try and i chose that one. so have a good gamble free weeekend everyone.

today is another day in the new chapter of my existence

cheers for the post Carl, its the same situation for me tomorrow, I haven't gone a weekend without betting on the football in at least 5 years, iam sure I'll be getting the txts off my mates in the morning saying what accumulators there going for etc, and I guarantee they will all loose, usually one team or one goal letting them down, me an you will be the real winners this weekend mate an so will our bank balances by not giving mr bookmaker are hard earned money,

Have a good one

well this is what day 24 has been like.

after being worried about the beginning of the football season i really had no need to as ive been really busy today. i started off by heading in to the city midday for the cycle brought on by the olympics and ended up doing 45 miles, i got home to watch start of football scores and it suddenly dawned on me this is the routine i used to get in to when i was gambling so had something to eat and a scrub up then headed off for a drive to the coast where i ended up going along the coast road, stopping at several beaches and then for some chips, i made it home and still dont know footy results so i think i can call that 1-0 to me and tomorrow im off to my brothers for a family bbq and few drinks.

so all is well with me today

sorry everyone that i havent commented on your diaries over the weekend but it seems i can live an ordinary life LOL. doesnt mean i havent checked in and read your posts and i will be back in on monday

so have a lovely rest of the weekend

today is another day in the new chapter of my existence

Hey Carl,

Well done on your victory over footy today and also very well done on 24 mate that is awesome and your well on your road to recovery. sounds like you had a really active day. Me I am day 96 and went cycling with my wife not quite 45miles more like just 45mins lol.

Enjoy tomorrow and i am sure it will be a good one mate take care and keep going. Your a really good member on here and write and support a lot of people on their diaries and journey to being gamble free so thank you for that. Keep in touch and catch up soon hopefully 🙂

Kind Regards

hi carl, well done mate, we both made it thru today and i think that is a major step in the right direction! personally it has been my hardest day so far by a mile, just used a lot of determination, watched the scores and noted that i would have lost if i had bet, so feel much better this evening.

stay strong and keep busy

enjoy the bbq

all the best mate
