Hey Carl,

Alrite mate thank you for all the posts on my wall. I have been quite lazy recently with replying to people's diaries on here.

Congratulations on 30 days almost a month mate so well done. You must have stopped gambling a couple days before i got married because i have been married for a month and 3 days now 🙂 I will do you a deal as long as i stayed married to my wife you dont gamble lol. 🙂

I plan on being married all my life and I am sure you plan on being gamble free all your life so it a done deal.

How is it going with trying to get into the london marathon? I am starting to take my training seriously again but only to look good on my honeymoon haha.

Also paintballing is really good fun for me i went on my stag do and ended up like something from jackass where everyone shoots all their paintballs at you that was horrible. but only because i was the stag.

Well have a really good weekend mate. and ye hopefully catch up soon 🙂

Kind regards

Ricky

well today is day 32

and all is good for me right now. i have remained gamble free still over the weekend, it does seem to be starting to get easier for me now, i didnt even watch the football scores on a saturday that has been my routine and the first plan of my weekend for a long time, so that was good to break the habit!!

one thing i have noticed though, yesterday i went paintballing, but before i went i wasnt really up for going and thinking im wasting my budget on this day out, but then the sensible head came out and i realised it was because before i would not want to spend money on anything so that i could gamble. i think we all had that feeling before. as i said went paint balling yesterday and managed to survive with out bruises and had a nice relaxing day today.

i even have some cash spare for me for the month and havent touched it yet so all is good

keep up the good work everybody and enjoy the extra day off

carl

Hi Carl, thank you for your post on my diary, your support means a lot to me.

Great to read that you had a good weekend, can totally relate to the spending theory - every pounds a punt when we're on it. My demon was the slots, and that last pound could just be the one that brings in the big win, what a fool eh ? Ive seen me leave the arcade without so much as the price of a loaf of bread, we lose sight of the real values when gambling, we go into a zone and its not until we have rooked ourselves and come back to the real world that it hits us. But no more my friend, life is too precious and what we have in life is too valuable to throw away any more, coz its not just money we lose, its who we truly are. It strips us of our identity, and once we give it up, thats when we start to find ourselves again.

You are doing fantastically well my friend, you have come so far and have become very wise to this poison, and for that I applaud you 🙂

Have a great day, keep posting

Cameron
