Following the death of my Uncle when I was 12 I started playing slot machines at a local arcade. I slowly became more and more entranced by the machines and by about the age of 20 I was in so much debt I was borrowing money, occasionally stealing it, getting credit card and maxing them out. I then got pregnant had my child and up until I met my current husband I carried on playing (taking my child with me tp the arcades)
When I met my husband we moved and I stopped completely, didn’t even look at a machine.
About a year and a half ago my gran passed away following a stroke and a long illness.
I then found online gaming!!!! Ever since I have been playing weekly it seems to be the only way I can distance myself from everything else.
I have a lovely family, nice home and decent job but it just consumes me. It's almost like it takes over,
I have self-excluded from so many sites but always seem to find another I can access.
But I'm here now and hoping this will help me move on and STOP
Hi Bedders! Congratualtions on getting this far and putting yourself in a position to get help. First thing I would suggest would be to get a blocker/filter installed on your PC/tablet. K9 is free and works very well, would always suggest someone else sets it up for you, so only they know the password and only they could disable it for you. Other options are gamban, betfilter adn gamblock. Also nearly all UK ISPs provide filtering software, whch means any device using your internet connection would be protected. Also phone your mobile provider and get 18+ sites restricted on that too.
You don't mention it above, but does anyone else know about your situation?

Brilliant thanks for the advice, I have a friend who knows so I could ask her to do a password for me. My husband knows I've had issues in the past and most recently I have gave him all responsibility for our money but he does put money into a seperete account for me but I just clear it every time.
If I can stop the 18+ sites on my phone I think that would really help as it's my phone where I am worst.
