Hi Adam,

Don’t do it.

Youre on this forum to find a way to have an enjoyable life without the self sabotaging and destruction that gamble has and will continue to have on your life.

Some days will be easy and others not so much. Today is just one day. Let it pass and I’m sure you feel happier tomorrow.

Once and for all let’s stop this repeat pattern that we all put ourselves through. Over and over I read stories on here of people more than a year of a bet who say they rarely think about gambling anymore. What a gift. Today, you, me and anyone else is one day closer to that gift.

RR

Well done mate. Keeping busy will keep those gambling demons away. One day at a time.

Thanks Degen mate, this week seems to have gone by relatively unscathed I am working to my budget and I think i will play my pub poker games less as I feel I have scratched that itch now and can move on to other hobbies.  I think ill start going to gym more often now along with my football watching hobby that takes up a lot of time.  My nephews and niece came over today and it was good to see them.  I have the odd thoughts associated with my scitsophrenia that put holt to an easy care free life but I can usually deal with them eventually.  over and out

Hi adam,

If only i'd been happy with simple pleasures all these years my life would have been so much better. The flip side of that is i am happy with simple pleasures now. Picking up grandsons (2/7  lol ) every morning  and taking them to school, walking my dog, doing the shopping. Gym sessions, visiting my sister who's a long term patient in a mental hospital & would for sure take her own life if left unsupervised. Hoovering, washing up you know what adam it's bliss compared to gambling and i'm a more caring & compassionate human being than i've been in years. Don't knock simple pleasures mate, i did & that's what brought me here because i gambled to block the not so pretty side of life out.

Best Wishes

AL
