Hi Pinksparkle
Just wanted to say congrats on your achievement to date
I am supporting my son on his recovery journey and I know it is hard to do ... But stay focused and take one day at a time
This site has been my life line when I couldn't talk to friends there was someone here to talk to and give you some guidance if you wanted it
Good luck in your job search ... I know it it hard, but stay focused you are doing so well ... And if you want a weight loss buddy I need one too ..... Have a great day tomorrow and be so proud of your acheivements ...sometimes I think your 'mishaps' have shaped you into a better person
You will shape your future into a 'great future'
Much love
Jax. Xxx

Hey guys, thanks for the posts
Not sure what happened there but I typed up a post and it only showed the first line doh!
So the positives:
I am 10 weeks gamble free today
I have a new sparkly pic to brighten up my page
I filled in a job app and completed aptitude test for job so fingers crossed
Going away for a few days on Sunday to spend time with friends (Merlot and Shiraz lol)
The negatives:
ZIP!
Hope everyone has a fab gamble free weekend! xxx
Hi Pinksparkle, thanks so much for the post, I really needed to see a response, congrats on 10 weeks, great achievement. the longest spell I had was while I was posting here so I am back and really need it to work this time.
best of luck to you and thanks for the post
Pat
Hi Pinksparkle
Well done! Over 10 weeks free from gambling- you deserve to be proud 🙂
I've managed to have a wee catch up with your diary. Hopefully things will improve in the job front- it sounds like you're putting lots of effort into finding something else.
I can identify wholly with the money thing- I often want to kick myself that I can have or do what I'd like cos I'm got myself into a financial mess-like you though, I'm doing all I can to sort out the mess. Being skint does have the advantage of no impulse buying- I've got so much "stuff" that I just "had to have" and never used 🙂
Keep up the great effort and take care!
Irene

Take Care Lisa 🙂
Hello Diary, been nearly a week since I last posted. Had a fab few days away - really needed a break to clear my head. Not feeling very well today, may have been the red wine last night lol. I was looking at another forum today (one on a website that I do competitions through) and saw a post from a member who said they had developed a gambling problem - just as I did - through a bingo site which lead to a major problem with the slots. I directed them to here and hope they have had a look so they realise they are not alone.
Makes me so sad to see other people fighting this addiction - what starts as an innocent pastime can turn into something so sinister. Thank goodness for gamcare.
I have also been reading Sabine's diary - what an inspirational lady she was. She put up such a fight, first with her addiction and then with cancer. I recommend everyone reads it.
That's all for now - sweet dreams x
Hey Pink,
Lovely to speak to you on a chat:-) Those few minutes does open up the person 'live'... i hope you find a job really soon. And so well done for fighting a good fight. We all can do it, believe in yourself:-)
Take care and keep it up, and of course thank you for you continued support.
