Thanks to you all for your support and encouragement, this is always appreciated.

I don’t miss gambling at all and I truly believe that after years of trying I have finally woken up to what this terrible addiction can do to people financially but more important mentally. Spending time with my family is much more rewarding.

I’m lucky enough to have a decent job, so I can just about pay the mortgage, utility bills and then £1400 on debt (minimum payment) however it leaves me with barely enough to get through the month…I.e travel to work.

I assume if I went stepchange that would impact my credit rating? If so I can’t afford to that as need to remortgage next year and try and get a better rate. I think I’ll just have to suck it up and keep paying the debts and hopefully it gets easier as the time passes.

thanks again and well done on your individual journeys, you are all doing so well.

150 days GF.

Gambling seems like a lifetime away and I don’t even contemplate it anymore. I thought with the football season stating that would be a big test, however after years of struggling and being an idiot I truly believe I have suffered enough and I don’t want to ever go back to where I was…..I was drained mentally and I was only there in body as my mind was frazzled with constant thoughts about betting, money, worry, shame etc

Debt Is depressing so I’m just focusing on the end goal. Money comes and goes but family is everything. None of us know how long we have in life but one thing I do know is every day GF will be a happy day for me.

Good luck to anyone fighting this terrible addiction, a happy life is out there if you really want it.

200 days GF.

Not been easy but over 6 months without a  bet has to be something to be proud of. Only a gambler will understand how hard it is to say enough is enough and stick to it.

It’s only the start as this is something for life and I know it’s something that I can never go back to if I want to be happy.

As always thanks for the support and good luck with your personal journeys.

A GF day is a happy one.
