Great stuff Suzanne, 314 days is a great achievement, the longer we go without gambling, the stronger our resolve becomes.

Thanks for your lovely posts very much appreciated.

Good morning diary,

314 days of winning.

Had a lovely day yesterday, took little man to a park with woods, so doggie had a good run, OH had to carry her a while in the end because she was shattered lol.

Watched fifty shades of you know what last night, thought it was good, can't wait for film number 2 lol.

No thoughts of gambling yesterday and I have made my choice today, abstaining and maintaining one day at a time, and WINNING. It would be utter madness to not want to win wouldn't it lol.

Wishing everyone a strong, positive and safe gambling free Sunday.

Suzanne xx

Hi Suzanne.... all the best with the new job tomorrow. Am sure you will be fine. It sounds like lovely hours.

It makes me think how my getting up at 4.45 every week day morning is starting to take its toll.

Starting back in work at 20 hours a week sounds like a good thing to do. I remember when i started back to work on 20 something hours and then within 2 weeks i was full time lol Don't let this happen to you unless you want it of course!

As for gambling, your recovery thoughts are spot on. The gambling devil within just "sits there" waiting for its moment to strike. As you say we must always remain vigilant. You have come such a long way in the last 10 months and am sure you have learn't from the likes of my experiences that its ever so easy to return to the abyss. Am sure you won't.

Warm regards... S.A 🙂

I don't know what it is about Fifty Shades, but it seems to bring the filthiest side out of whoever I seem to be working with at the time. When the books became popular, I remember one middle aged colleague having the filthiest giggle while reading the book in the canteen, it quite put me off my lunch!

The girls in work recently have been talking about the film too, hopefully it passes sooner rather than later, I'm not great at covering my blushes!

Glad to read you're still going strong, that milestone of a year's gamble free not too far away now. Proud of your strength and resilience getting here, and I know you've got the mindset to continue this into a permanent trend!

Thank you all for your messages, very much appreciated and to be honest I feel a little nervous and apprehensive, but that's quite normal when starting a new job, and going into unknown, will feel better with first day is out of the way lol.

Good morning diary,

315 days today, of simply winning by not placing that first bet, had a couple of mini thoughts last, but that was because I was feeling a bit nervous and apprehensive about my new job lol. OH put a couple of films on and the thoughts went, I do love my movies lol.

Its amazing how so many things ie adverts, people, shops etc, remind us of our gambling every single day, there is always something that makes us think about our horrendous gambling, but it's positive in a way because it reminds us to never go back, to keep strong and on guard.

wishing everyone a positive, calm and strong gambling free day.

suzanne xx

Thanks Cheryl, tt1980 and Steve, first day was fine, don't know why I was fussing sooo much about it lol.

Good morning diary,

316 days today of starving it and winning.

Work went fine yesterday, round 2 today, at least I know where the loos are and where to get coffee from lol.

Five hours a day four days a week suits me fine at this time.

Wishing everyone a strong, calm and focused gambling free day.

Suzanne xx
