Thank you sooo very much Steve, Balvaird, Martin, Alan and loxxie, for your lovely messages, very much appreciatedxxx

Good morning dear diary:)

Two years ago today since I took my last payday loan out for a desperate 300 and blew it in a very short space of time. and then experienced one of the worst days of my life.

I found this wonderful forum that day and slowly but surely with the support from wonderful like minded folk past and present I have

got to two years without going back to this vile horrible addiction that did consume me mentally, and physically, it really did take my life over 100% nothing else mattered, just desperation on how to get my next fix.

I feel really good today, (different to when I got to one year, it felt strangely flat and quite exhausting after one year) but today I really feel like I have achieved something, I have contained this addiction for two years and it's feels soo good.

Had a lovely couple of texts from Dan earlier, told him I feel really good, he said GA says it takes approximate two years (his words) for people's thinking to become value based rather than addiction based, bless you Dan you have helped me understand my feelings at this time again, xx

All I can say for today is I feel good inside, I feel I have achieved something for myself, and that is getting my life back in control, and I can continue to do this by just taking one day at a time, not forgetting to always keep my triangle broken, and ofcourse staying close to my diary and this forum,

The support I have received since my day 1 has been essential for my own journey, and it really makes my day if I get a response from another diarist that I have posted to and they simply say thank you and you have helped me today, it really does help me to keep moving OAUs,

Thank you fellow CGs and thank you forum for helping me get to two years, what an amazing, bumpy up and down rollercoaster ride it has been so far, but sooo very much worth it all, once we hit the floor, the only way to go is up, we may hit it a number of times but we can all do it, get there, recovery sure is possible (Ade2)

I will never give up on giving up:)))

Wishing everyone a strong, positive and calm gambling free day.

Happy Suzanne xx

Hi Suzanne, two years, that is something you must be very proud of, you have achieved what you set out too, to be gamble free. Not only have you achieved that for yourself, which we all know being on here, is very difficult, you offer amazing support and advice to us all on here. I will raise a glass to you tonight, if anyone needs to see that Gamcare can work for some, they need to look at you - Have a proud day. - Paul

Hi Suzanne...massive congratulations to you today. I can echo the sentiments - I also found the second year gf a lot more pleasurable than the first year. Perhaps Dan has a point, I haven't heard that mentioned before but it does resonate.

Thanks for all the work and support you give to me and to the wider forum x
