Msn Knacked 🙂

Maybe just chose 1 day , just 1, where you dedicate that day to your health and fitness?

Break it down into groups.......... things you enjoy, things your not to keen on but would like to get better at, even the things you dont like............just for one day each week starting this week?

So you're saying I gamble 6 days a week but have 1 non-gambling day each week Kim ?

(Dedicated to Health & Fitness in general anyway, with exception of when Gambling has an effect )

No (lol) im not saying gamble the other 6 days .........but as you point out yourself

that your dedicated to H&f except when .......

Is it possible to change things bit by bit...... break the routine if you like???

You say boredom plays a big part .......... me personally i cant think of anything more boring than watching something that is computer generated................your an intelligent guy..... use that to your advantage ..........

(see if i keep nagging you, you may become fed up of women too, and then your only alternative would be to get down the gym more than you may do already ) LOL

Captain--I think what my blond friend is saying to you is similar to what others have tried to suggest --you need to switch the emphasis away from the two main things that occupy your mind----you and gambling!

Put more emphasis onto other things in your life. At the moment the gambling is your life--try to turn it into something that is part of life but does not always have to be part of your life.

Kim--just read your link for the first time and have typed this through misty eyes. I am lucky to share something with the person you describe--the love of a very good woman. x

All the best Captain

Stumper

Stumper/Seano - thanks for posts, appreciate your thoughts and support.

I random gambled today again. I won, but we all know thats not the issue.

Kim - I know where you are coming from but:

1. Take women out of my life - Never - doesnt matter how much you nag me lol !

2. I already visit the Gym as much as I possibly can and my fitness level is top notch. I sometimes have to stop myself doing too much, have done that before and got injured. Gambling has never stopped me going to the Gym, it has of course made me feel bad in other ways but my physical fitness hasnt suffered.

Any other tips or guidance appreciated....enjoying the exchange of comments...

Morning Captain,

You have dissapeared onto page two.... must mean your busy down the gym eh ? 🙂

So your mega fit already...... so how about something a bit extreme ..........

SKY DIVING !!!!!

Would give you a buzz for sure, and you could even jump for charity...... i know a very worthwhile one that we all use on a regular basis.....................:0

In chat the other night we briefly touched on you speaking to the staff in the shop where you go........would you welcome it if they spoke to you??

See i speak to the customers in my shop all of the time, sometimes directly , but mostly subtle.........sometimes it helps, but i guess you can only assist those that want it.........

Do you want it Captain...... help i mean ??

Name something you have always wanted to do, b ut have never got around to it???

(riding the derby winner is NOT an option )

Enjoy the day whatever you decide to do.....

TC

Kim x

Kim/wp - thanks for posts, appreciated.

Horrendous day today, lost loads, hope it will put me off for a while.

Kim, I have spoken to people in the shops I go to but they tell me they can only offer self-exclusion, which I dont want. I have asked in the past for them to serve me only when I am betting on Football but they say they are not allowed to do that.

Hi Captain,

As you may well know C, I work in a bingo hall so am quite up on gaming laws. What they are telling you in the shop is not always the case, for example, we can partially exclude somebody from playing the fruit machines in our club, but they can still have a game of bingo. Maybe they could do something similar? They have a duty to follow the responsible gambling guidelines made in the 2007 Gambling Act which are to:

1/ Promote fair and open play.

2/ Prevent gambling from being used for crime and disorder.

and most importantly,

3/ Protect children and the vulnerable.

We are the vulnerable C. They must try and assist you in anyway way they can. Have they offered you any help or advice other than self-exclusion? I know some outlets aren't very keen on promoting responsible gambling, but it is the law. Have you thought about self-exclusion? Even if it's for a limited time (3 months etc..)?

Hope you find a solution.

Stay Strong

Steve
