Hello all 2 weeks today since i last gambled and feeling so happy but at times the urges had become so intense....

So i made a decision today me and the mrs were talking about getting engaged and i just blerted it out, everything about my gambling and how it is taking over my life and at first she looked so angry but within minutes she was talking to me about how are we going to stop this once and for all...

So K9 installed she is the ony one who knows the password! She now has my bank card and at the start of every week she will give me what i need for the week... sounds very sad that but im willing to do what it takes i love her too much and my life is more important.

Feeling relieved and feeling happy....

give it a few months and ill h*r enough money to live comftable and without any ways of gambling

Thanks

baz

Evening everyone,

I am so happy at the moment with my current progress, Today is my 23rd day of being gamble free i cannot believe it, cannot believe i have been clear for 23 days but more importantly the improvements it has made to my mental state, feel really happy, i am more sociable and i am actually buying new things like cloths etc..

Next Challenge is 50 days.... Can i do it?

Yes you can!! You've done brilliantly to get this far so I'm sure you can make it to 50 days no problem!!

If you feel tempted think how your girlfriend would feel and also think about how one day you want to marry her. You won't be able to do that if gambling drags you down.

Best of luck šŸ™‚

Hi

Congratulations on making it to 25 days and well done for owning up to your girlfriend. I kept all my gambling secret for a long time but telling people about it and having them look out for me really helps. Try and keep yourself as busy as possible. You talked about getting back to the gym, once it becomes a routine you will be looking forward to going and getting a release of those happy hormones.

Stay strong. All the best in your recovery.

32 days without placing a bet of any kind not even a £2 football bet, cannot believe how the time has flown,

My days were close to being numbered today down my uncles for the day and i thought about having a bet on blackjack thought about it a few times but i remembered on the chat someone saying when you feel like that to read the recovery diaries so thats what i did and it worked, urges went and i am back home now so day 33 and the continuation of my journey survives a few scary moments!!

17 days away from my next landmark bring it on

Thanks

Bazza

45 days today without gambling, How i have done this is such a milestone in my life, 45 days without losing a penny and 45 days of becoming the human being i once was before i become a gambling addict.

A lot still to do and i am still very grounded to know that i no longer have a gambling problem, Still have little urges but not a much or strong as they have been since week one of my recovery.

Hope everyone is doing well and again i would like to thank everyone for their support on my diary at the chatroom.
