Thank you caughtup for that lovely post on my diary. Wonderful to see you have come to terms with past mistakes and are now focussed on living a gamble free life. You certainly have a wonderful attitude and seem to be embracing each day as it comes.
Hello Diary...Day 6 of my journey of redemption. With courage, hope and zeal I look to be liberated from the insidious influence of gambling.
This is a golden opportunity for me to start afresh. I will hang for dear life because it might be a bumpy ride but I will come through it in one piece.
Hello Stephen,
Thanks for posting on my diary. Sorry to see you are still struggling, but, more importantly still trying to stop gambling. I haven't been spending much time on here lately so forgive me if i don't post/reply for a while. I started spending a little too much time on here for my liking (another easy escape maybe?). So i've not been checking in like i used to.
All the best!
Hi Stephen, thanks so much for your lovely words. I haven't posted much as have been flat out working but think of my fellow forum dwellers daily. sending strength and hugs,S x
Thank you SJW & Sharon for posting on my diary.
I am enjoying a holiday staying at my sisters. Brother in law's birthday yesterday and Great Nephews 11th birthday party today so enjoying some great fun and adventures in the sun.
Gambling is no longer going to be a part of my life. What's done is done and can't be undone but my future will be gamble free. No more the fool - i'm gonna be cool.
Hi Stephen, I've not logged on here for a while - not because I've been abstaining from gambling - quite the opposite - so today again I have found your diary a positive source of inspiration - the gambling knocks us down, but like you I fully intend to have a gamble free future. Today is day one. I may not check in very often but I wish you every success in your journey. Annie.
Stephen, post on my diary when, not if, when you reach 100 days gamble free and I will make a donation to a charity of your choosing.
It still feels early days for me but I am in the 400+ bracket, finally, for once in my adult life. Who knows what my future holds but for today I will not gamble and I am looking forward to a holiday with my family, truly unthinkable one year ago.
There are better reasons to not gamble than just my challenge but I want to give you an extra incentive to try and get through these first days and weeks...
100 days Stephen....100 gloriously gamble free days - you will do this!
Thank you for the posts on my diary. Annie it is good to see you back amongst us and making a fresh start. Compulsive Gambler you are doing so well and are an inspiration. I was moved by your offer of a charity donation upon my 100th day free from gambling and I intend to do likewise (only £5 but it is an added incentive). Caughtup you are 2 months into your gamble free journey. I sincerely wish that everything works out for you.
Morning Diary. Arrived home last night after a great 12 days staying with my family in Surrey.
20 days now without a bet which is a good start. I know perfectly well where gambling takes me and how much better life can be without it.
My brain heart and soul agree to refrain
I'm heading back home on a gamble free train
Passing the bookies with a Yihaaa Woo Hoo
I'm strong and i'm able to see this one through
20 days is a great platform to begin your gamble free life, Stephen.
I’m glad to hear you’ve had a lovely 12 days with the family in Surrey. A beautiful part of the country is Surrey.
You sound like you mean business this time mate and I have every faith that you will reach that 100 day target and beyond.
Keep chopping away at those days and watch your life slowly fall back into place. It’s a beautiful thing.
Take care, Dan

Dan it makes me happy to see you enjoying the gamble free life because we really need to embrace the opportunities it brings. Many times in the past we have been so blinded by the lure of gambling that we failed to see all the good things around us.
Annie It is wonderful that you are trying again ro get your life back on track. I sincerely hope you can overcome the temptations come pay day. Please stay with us my friend. One day at a time we can all go forward together and leave all that gambling nonsense in the past.
Shake the disease you really brought a smile to my face with your limerick. Many thanks for that.
Compulsive Gambler you are forging ahead relentlessly and are proof that compulsive gamblers can say no to the addiction and live a better life.
Hello Diary It's nearly time to get some sleep and rest my weary head
I'll dream of the GamCare Mountain which is looming up ahead.
Hi Stephen thanks so much for your positive post as always. Am steadily getting to where I want to be and you will too my friend. Happy Friday Sx
Thanks Stephen, what a lovely message to receive on my diary.
You’ve had a few relapses yourself in the last few months but you’re still, for me, one of the people on here who I draw inspiration from and respect as somebody who knows what it takes to stay gamble free. A true warrior in my eyes who gives out so much useful advice to others in need.
Congratulations on passing the first 3 weeks of your journey. The days soon start to rack up from here. The first few weeks for me were the most difficult.
Keep smashing this journey mate. You’re giving yourself a great platform to go on and kick on.
