Interesting post on the lottery and your feelings about the mini win. Yes, I can see what you mean. I still do it - haven't increased my stake financially but possibly increased my attention to it and the possible use of a win - so my stake emotionally. I will look at it again.

After dashing about like Hammy Hamster on speed yesterday, I had a more relaxing day today! I got up early today (10) walked the mutt & went to lunch with the olds (Nan & Mum) coz the very old (Nan) decided to splash out on a new mattress! I met them in town where her beady eye hit straight upon, you've guessed it, the most expensive mattress in the whole world (probably)! Luckily the sales assistant was able to persuade her that @ 5 foot & shrinking she didn't need the same support as Giant Haystacks & found one that was just right for a lot less! I paid on the credit card & then she told me she'd bought cash & handed over £400 (that she's probably been keeping under her existing mattress) as part payment adamant that she's gonna pay her way (grrrr)! We shared (yep all 3 of us) a baguette & a bowl of chips whilst Mum moaned about the cost (even though I was paying) 🙁 She too has inheritance coming her way & it's heart breaking to know where it is going to end up 🙁

I didn't think anything of the cash in my purse until I checked out a local furniture charity shop & in less than a minute walked past 2 bookies, a fruit machine shop & a bingo! I think I'm still excluded from them all them but it was a weird concept to know I had all that cash & wasn't spending a penny!

When I got home, I rearranged the living room! We had pork & apple sausages (which actually exploded in the frying pan & nearly took the lid off?!?) with trimmings for Tea, then I went swimming! I'm now sat down to watch a film with a bowl of cereal...I think Mrs D that this constitutes normal & I for one couldn't be happier 🙂

Blimey, Giant Haystacks! Now there's a blast from the past! ;0)
