Hi Diary,

Day 377 - Final game of footy season today! Won 4.0 and have the unlucky honour of being unbeaten this season and not winning the league! Too many draws so had to settle for second! Been a strange one for me first season without gambling, at times I played mayb better than ever! However, wasn't brilliant last few games and that's much to do with my low mood off the pitch and letting the exercise go!

Lovely to see some sun today tho and lighter nights have been a pick me up! Done 2 workouts this week and every intention of pressing on next week! Working away will help a little as going to the gym fills that time of boredom quite nicely!

Every now and again I flick through my diary and I did so last night! Interesting reading the difference in my posts from last summer to currently! I'm now where near as positive lately and I need to seriously work on my approach to life through the winter months! Gradually improving at the moment tho and I'm getting to the time of year where work is busier and my motivation for everything is far higher! My aim is to be as positive and successful as last summer and then find a way to protect against the winter crash!

Oh and gambling should get a mention too! I had a night at home by myself last night with my debit card also in the house (don't often have my card) and I can honestly say I didn't give having a bet one single thought! It's not control or brilliant willpower I just have a method and barriers that work very well!

Day 377 - First Saturday waffle for a while!

Hey Flagg 🙂

Wow... You're doing amazing! 1 year plus! That's where I want to be but have another 9 months to go until I get there!!! Ah, such a long time!

Keep on doing what you're doing because doing what you're doing is working wonderfully well indeed!

Stubbsy 🙂

Hey my friend,

That you for the post as always I smile when I see your name, my partner not in crime but in commitment and determination to continue this daily journey of ours.

So glad to see things are improving for you and great that your planning something to take you through the darkness should it come .

It's defiantly been a journey I will keep with me forever as both you and I know recovery is a lifetime commitment.

Onwards and upwards

Happy Sunday

Hey flag

Many thanks again for the continued support, it does brighten my day to see such a positive reply.

It's good to hear that the barriers and methods that you have in place have worked in stopping you from gambling when home alone.

I did not realise you could download k9 to your iphone. How do you go about restricting gambling? Or will I have to restrict all of the internet?

Thanks again.

Take care

N x

Hello Diary,

Day 379 - Thought I had posted from my phone yesterday morning but it appears not. Anyway, all is well.

Just about to leave for Scotland. Long old drive ahead but got a nice hotel awaiting this evening and then 2 days on a course. Long drive back Wednesday and then busy end to the week. This week is just going to fly.

It's often amazing to me that I can't see what's right under my nose and as you say I have everything to be thankfull for so all the more stupid to risk it, has really hit home this time.

Hope your trip goes well.

Hi Diary,

Day 380 - Just about to pound the treadmill at the hotel gym! Day has flown by really want to be showered and fed ready for the match at 7.45 so will keep it brief today!

No gambling issues, amazes me how many days I actually don't even remotely think about it! This is something that consumed my life sometimes 20+ hours a day!

Day 380 - Pound the treadmill!

Good Morning,

Day 371 - Last morning up in Scotland for a few weeks. Long long drive back home after my course today must stay awake!

A period of calm seems to be taking a grip again now, it is warmly welcomed as I was fed up of being fed up! Still need to work out the why's but currently just happy to see the back of that spell!

Day 371 - Drifting along nicely!
