Morning World,

Day 432 - Been a hectic week which has absolutely flown by. Not posted since Monday so I expected to have loads to write. However, it has just been work work work. No issues on the gambling front which I don't expect to change. It's more about keeping that in check and working on my other defects these days.

Will catch up with everyone in the coming days.

Day 432 - Check in Weekend!

Yo,

re your post on my thread .

Middle lane or work on the mood changes .

I am not sure we can , think whilst at it our lives were lived in extremes . Highs from the rare good day or lows from the bad . I for one tried to hide the lows , too many questioned asked if I didn't .

So years and years of pretending to feel one way or another . Is this up and downess what non addicts feel maybe . Do we crave the highs , but can not reach them ? Quite a few posts around at present point to that .

Middle lane it might have to be , time will tell .

Have a good weekend

Shiny xxxx

It's nice to be busy gets the weekends here quickly. Thanks for your post. I need the encouragement and support. I know this site and the people on it can help and I need to dive back in and get the help I need. My moment will come. I'm glad your still right there, days piling up and the rewards are there to be enjoyed. Any down days are just life I guess, nobody has that perfect life. But without gambling life is so much better, that's something we both know. Have a good weekend.

Good Morning Diary,

Day 439 - Best week I have had for quite some time. Much like last year where all of a sudden something just clicked I have found a renewed surge of energy and noticed a sharp increase improvement in mood. Looking back on last year this has come 4 weeks earlier than last year so it's certainly progress even if it's not at the rate I would like.

In all seriousness I need to address this for next year as I cant live the rest of my life feeling great from June to December but feeling lousy January to June. Fingers crossed though the corner has been fully turned for this year.

2013 Thread going really well and I have a really strong feeling the names still on the list will all manage the calendar year bet free. A phenomenal achievement that would be.

Day 439 - Excellent Week!

Morning Flagg

Good to see u av turned the corner this year its a real funny one how the expectations in ur life av changed 439 days ago I I guess the expectations were to stop gambling and that my friend u met that challenge and in my eyes exceeded it as in my time theirs only a handful I know who av achieved this , we all know how difficult it is to abstain so the pride and respect I av for u is eternal

Now the expectations av changed and rightly so but life is life gambling played a big part in it and now it doesn't , thats a big big change one that u av had to adapt to so the months progress u feel u av made is actually impressive , like any addiction I feel the slower its weaned out of our system the better chance it will never return

Sometimes though its good to go back to basics the one day at a time rule never fails if ur having an off day , the big picture for u its huge and one where many of us would want to be and thats worth remembering next Jan if the same old feelings return

Glad your back on the right track. Your still learning adjusting on this recovery and its a long road. I'm sure as you add another 6 months to your no gambling time next jan to June will be better than this years jan to June. Progress is what it's all about and you will keep progressing. Great to have you back in high spirits.

Hiya Flagg. Glad all is well. Thinking of doing a challenge/thread. Just wanted to check you weren't thinking of doing one in the near future didn't want to step on ya toes and also if I do, do one I'd probably wanna copy and paste your first page of your previous challenges if you don't mind. You've had great success with that format and I think it's a great template to work from. I may not do one as I don't seem to have a lot of time at the mo to get on here but I may do. Anyway glad your well, keep up the good work the big 500 is in sight.

Yo,

Mr Flaggs got his mojo back.

Enough to brighten even the Shinies Shinys day !

Maybe my dear friend the only answer in the long term is for you to immigrate down under . Sure there is no one with seasonal affective disorder but on the down side i hear there are no importation of double deckers

Now there's a business idea for you lol
