Flagg,

Amazing work buddy. 700 days free from gambling is an amazing achievement. Lovely to read that first thing in the morning.

Keep up the good work.

Tomso.

Good Morning Diary,

Day 730 - Today mark's 2 years bet free for me. A milestone that has come around very quickly this year. Towards the end of year 1 time seemed to almost stand still but this year it has been very different.

The important thing for me going forward is to retain that focus and not forget the problems gambling caused me.

I found Saturday was one of the hardest days I have had in 2 years with the National happening and all the 'once a year punters' having a bet. Last year I was away for the National and the year before it was in my 1st week of abstinence. So, this year was my first National where I have been aware.

I wouldn't say I was desperate to bet on it but I felt a bit like the outcast the one person who couldn't have a bet and that wasn't a great feeling. I guess the positive is this only happens once a year and I can live with that. I think it also helped that I knew the 2 year mark was only a couple of days away and that was a milestone I wanted to reach.

For the year ahead I have a massive incentive to stay on track. I am now in my final 12 months of debt repayments. What I will do once I am debt free is something I will look at very closely nearer the time but for now it's a case of maintaining the equilibrium and keep racking up those days.

Day 730 - 2 Years!!!

Absolutely fantastic achievement mucker! I know what you mean

About the grand national,i found it really hard on sat, plus all the horses I bet at Cheltenham running days before it but I kept myself busy and stayed away. Keep up tiny steps to 3 years mate.
