Checking in on 104 days. The last couple of days I've had Few urges to go into the betting shop. I've got problems with my car, boiler, and there's a leak in my roof..... Money, money, money!!! I don't deal well with stress and these things are really getting to me! This is the problem I have..... For the last 18 years of gambling the reason I got so addicted is not just because of how it made me feel but gambling did help me out when I needed extra money. I see now that in the long run I would always end up worst of because of the gambling but at that moment in time when I needed the extra money the roulette machines were there for me! I've been strong enough to keep out the betting shop till now, if i wasn't for this site I more then likely would have gambled by now. I'm in 104 days and I don't want to start again.

110 days today. Its been a tough couple of weeks. So much money i need to pay out for things that have the broken down... car, boiler, etc. This is when im worst at my worst when it comes the gambling....trying to win money to help me pay for things and to be honest it did help me many times... thats why i started all this. However, i also know that even if i do win some money to help me through this tough time it will eventually go back into the machines along with everything else i own. i trying to stay strong and not gamble i just cant go back to day 1 again.

Hi Chris, well done on 111 days can't wait till I can say that! We have to learn in life that sometimes things just have to wait and prioritise the things that are needed most. Gambling won't get you anywhere but back to square one again as you are aware. You will get through this tough time and things always seem much worse when we have no money. Stay strong and you will be fine. Take care.

Wow!! What a tough few weeks. So much stress and anxiety over money, my job and my relationship! Where do I start... Ok so the first thing that went wrong was my car. It broke down on a Monday morning on the way to work. I had to take it to 4 different mechanics because I kept getting different opinions. I was quoted 2.5k, 4K, etc.... I thought the car was a write off so I was getting 2 buses to work and from work everyday. Next was the boiler... Again broke down and the plumber couldn't work out what was wrong with it so he said it may be time for a new one!! More money!! Then came along a few other bills! This was all at the same time. Not only all of this but me and my wife were going through really bad patch so the last few weeks have been a test. I would have 100% gone on a gambling Bing if this was a few months ago but I'm happy to say I didn't gamble at all!! My car is now fix, the boiler is working and me and my wife have sorted things out. It just goes to show that it's the gambling that's keeps me in that state of mind for months and months on end. The last few weeks as been tough but it's finally sorted, if a gambled then I would have been in that state of mind for months!! I did think about gambling a few times but I didn't even get close to doing it. I'm happy to say 126 days gamble free!!

Hi Chris

Just a quick message to say well done on staying gamble free despite all the stresses going on. It's a great example of how gambling is only going to make these kinds of crises worse.

Take care and keep posting
