Just popped on quickly to say councelling went well, 50 minutes of me telling her about myself really but got 11 weeks left if need them and think I'll make most of all of them, so overall am pleased I went and feel like I have got a focus.

Sure we'll cover more next week.

One week without a bet has passed today, so over the moon, double figures here I come baby! 🙂

Hi ya,

So glad it went well. Feel very proud of yourself , for excepting the fact that you needed help, sort it out and took it.

You almost bring a tear to my eye but not quite. Come to lakes and pore your wine. I think not . Lol

Looking forward to your post tomorrow, counciling can bring up a lot of reflection on the past , so be prepared that it might put you into a bit of a downer. But once you come through the other side of it , it will I have no doubt of been a worth while experience.

Take care my lovely.

Dusty

Thank you Dusty, Tomso and Julliette for your support and kind words. Half way through 8 days today, am tired and can't wait until 5pm but apart from that I am relaxed. Going round my dads for tea and tomorrow seeing friends. I will post support to others as soon as I can, just need to get back to work now.

Have a good afternoon everyone

DAY 9 Today

Thanks Duncan, I wanted to try everything mate, I am sure the next 11 weeks will really be helpful, the lady was nice and I think we will get on. Dad is printing me off a load of pictures on Monday, he is a printer so that's helpful, I'll be able to take them around with me and start excluding from the shops. Card has gone to my parents but there's nothing in it until pay day.

Feel much happier and I know I can now stay bet free but will take each day at a time and not put myself under too much pressure. I'm not going to beat myself up anymore and I have a great future to look forward to.

Pleased it is Saturday and the football matches start early today, then going to friends house at 5.

Have a good weekend everyone

Hi Wilsy,

Just catching up on your diary mate. Brilliant to see the positive steps you are making. I think the key is YOU are finding the things that YOU feel will aid your recovery. I am so so grateful for the support I receive and I need that support but at the end of the day it has to be ME that wants to beat this addiction.

It is crazy in some ways how Gambling is such a selfish addiction and yet the recovery part when you break it right down is equally as Selfish. The major difference is that being selfish in recovery is also benefiting those closest to us. As long as YOU want to keep fighting people will continue to rally around you and offer endless support.

I will try to stop viewing this as a never ending battle and instead view the recovery as a never ending win. Might be something to bear in mind.

Great to see you going so well though buddy!

Thanks Juliette, Castle and Flagg.

10 days today without a bet, went out with my friends last night and feel quite hungover today. Had lunch with the family, now need a nap.

Looking forward to the month ahead, need this weather to clear up so that I can go and doing some fishing.

Onto day 11.

Wish my emails were working this morning, not helping me with my work and I need to close my magazine! Anyway at least I can watch a bit of Jeremy Kyle :-).

Feeling good today, been paid, not got any money in my possession, card has been handed over and I have food in the cupboard.

Looking forward to the Man Utd/Man City game tonight, should be a corker.
