I have achieved 7 days in a row without any gambling whatsoever and I am feeling good! I have only managed this with the support of my brother, who is helping me manage my finances and is praising me when I do well. A big step for me was the other day when I self-excluded from an arcade that I used to love frequenting. My brother came with me and saw that what I was doing took a great deal of effort. He told me he was proud of me for agreeing to exclude. I am enjoying spending my budgeted money on useful items and I am logging all of my expenditure on a spreadsheet which is viewable at any point by my brother. I can now enjoy a small reward for reaching 7 days abstinence. My next target is 21 days in a row. Onward and upward!

I have successfully achieved 21 days without gambling now!So my second target has been reached.I will be buying myself a nice bottle of aftershave as a treat!My next target is 42 days...it is only with my brother's support that I am managing to do this.I got through pay day and have fulfilled all of my expenses so far this month.I have still got money left in the bank and I am finding that I can afford things that before I stopped,I never seemed to have the money for.
