I've been here before.

But this time it's different.

I feel stronger.

My hatred for gambling and for what it has made me over the past decade has finally made me realise I cannot go on like this. I have to completely give up all forms of gambling. I haven't gambled for 78 days and feel very proud of that, considering the longest time I've gone without a bet is about a week in the last 12 years.

Ive lost thousands of pounds and have loads of debt, but somehow over the last 78 days I have managed control my finances, and my gambling urges.

Still thinking about gambling every day but somehow managing to remain bet free!

Feeling strong!

Paul

Just sitting thinking about some of my gambling episodes over the years.

i remember the night when I had a job interview the next day. I got in, and was supposed to prepare myself for the interview. But instead, I played poker all night. Literally all night. I was up around £2000 and was ecstatic. So happy that I just stayed up thru the night playing, but thought i would be fine for my interview because I was so happy! Didn't go to the interview, because I was winning and didn't want to leave the lucky tables! What an idiot. Finally had to stop playing and fell asleep around lunch time. I was around £3000 up. A massive amount of money for me! About an hour later, I had lost it all, and £1000 more on online roulette.

Complete madness, I will never do anything like that again.

I'm Still gamble free.

Keep having gambling dreams though.

I dreamt last night that I won, when I woke up I as gutted because I thought the dream was real and I had blown my abstinence.

Happy I'm still gamble free, can't wait to reach 100 days! Decided I'm gonna treat myself to some rare new clothes when I reach 100!

Stay strong people!

Paul,

Just read your posts, well done on remaining gamble free, I can relate to your losses, been there many a time being up 2-3K and within an hour or so losing the lot and more as i could'nt stop. 18 days since i last gambled and i will be proud when i reach your amount of days, finding it more difficult at the moment each day to remain gamble free. But I won't give in.
