PS. re LotR, does it really take nine hours to sort out a single ring?
hi cynical wife, id like to lie and say im doing great but unfortunately im struggling with the financial situation, it was her birthday today and I couldnt afford alot so when I gave her her birthday cards and a pair of trainers she didnt seem very impressed, sooooo I took her shopping in torquay (I always gambled in the bookies down there) walking past them with a few notes in my pocket just thinking I could do my usual and walk out with 400-500 and hey her birthday would be sorted I felt a great urgency and anxiety but managed to refrain from stepping inside took alot of effort but I stopped myself.i gave her an additional 40 to go shopping and then took her out for a meal tonight and now shes gone out drinking I couldnt afford us both out and felt very anxious too (drink and anxiety lead me to a fight and jail for the night). So now were about 120 in debt for her birthday and im going to struggle like mad for the next 5-6months to make that sort of money up with no overtime or gambling.but never mind.
I didnt attend gamblers anonymous last week wasnt my fault the mrs was getting her hair done and didn't come back until 7pm my meetong starts at 7.30pm and takes 30 mins to get there 15mins to park and walk so I decided to not go this week.its really difficult atthe moment like I say im struggling with the ffinancial loss of subsidised wages through gambling.
How are you doing?
Not bad thanks.
Good for you on staying gf. Its well to recognise an urge to gamble masquerading as a financial solution. An urge to gamble is an urge to gamble and financial solutions don't involve speculation. The bookies will turn pennies into debt or small debt into bigger debt, the house always has the edge.
Mark, money comes and money goes (it's goes in our house atm) but you seem to imply that if you don't measure up in cash terms then it's no good for your relationship? That's not so, happiness and affection aren't valued in cash terms and if they were, would they even be worth having?
Take care of you, is there another meeting or a babysitter you could get if need be.
