Hi Claire, hope you're well?

I haven't been on here much lately but just popping by to report im still gamble free for 2016.

I finished off 2015 losing £150.00 telling myself tomoorow is a new start. I dont think I even wanted to win anything to be honest, it was just my way of putting last year to bed I guess.

So from Jan to 8 August last year I was gamble free. Crazy space of 4 or so months I threw away roughly 4 or so grand at an estimate.

Gotta make sure I dont make the same mistakes this year.

Just checking in. Still gamble free for the year. Not been active on the site for many months now as not felt the need to be here.

Im not quite sure what happened but my gamble free run has well and truly come to an end.

I managed for the first time ever since turning 18 over 20 years ago to go a whole year gamble free
2017 started fine until late January when I started having thoughts about how it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world to visit the bookies during my lunch break.
That was 30th Jan, since then Ive been on another 3 occasions and im ashamed to say my stupidity and not being strong has cost me £1,320.
That is absolutely shocking and im do ashsmed of my actions right now.
On the plus side this has been a major wake up call and I now have no intention of making this year any worse financially than it has been already.
Time to start building up my gamble free days starting from tomorrow

One week down with no interest in throwing away even more money, a couple of years ago I wouldn't have been in the same mind set and more than likely have been gambling daily.

Just need to stay this way now.

Day 2 today...

I now have set myself a little mini task..

a little saying;

I did not gamble YESTERDAY

I will not gamble TODAY

Im not planning on gambling TOMMOROW

1st May was the ideal time to start again, I will just write off February March and April.

Ive gona on long gambling free runs in 2015 and 2016, in fact didnt gamble at all in 2016 so I know I have it in me.

This time however I need to be more determined when complacently kicks in and I think a little gambling isnt the end of the world

It's been way too long since my last post here, last year was tough.

HOWEVER, still wanting and willing to stop and that's the post important thing.

Finding lots of supportive people on twitter since joining 3 or so weeks ago, been a massive help to be honest

Took a long time to reread through my while diary. I'm shocked I'm in a worst financial position than I was 4 years ago.

Last bet 2 June 2019.... I've got absolutely no urges to gamble at the moment.

Should be debt free by the end of next year. Been with StepChange since November last year which has really helped me out. I was drowning in debt a day needed interest to stop on various credit cards etc

Just over  £11,000 left to pay at £600 a month
