Morning Deano, thank you for the posts on my diary, I've had a look at that headspace it looks good, thank you. Are you still injured? I've lost track of time this last couple of weeks. I went to th gym last night and did 2 miles bike and 3 on the running machine as well as take the dog on an hours long walk. I've cut out the bread for the last couple of weeks and not eaten as much lately think it may have something to do with the beareavement. House work is another thing, I never realised how much walking and steps is involved doing house work, this morning walked the Kirby all around the house and did 3862 steps! Amazing! So much dust in the house with knocking plaster off walls, it carries every where. Bathroom is still like a bomb site , amazing how he can build a flipping house in a few weeks and the bathroom is taking months! Lol at your comment nooooo im not the prime minister but we probably get as much media cover as she does if not more at the moment. Anyway enough about me, you are doing so well and give so much to other people on here, be proud of yourself, you have come along way. What goals have you set for the year? X

I hope your daughter had a wonderful 10th Birthday. It never fails to amuse how people react when they hear it is a Valentine's day birthday. Yes, that feeling of being able to provide on your child's birthday is wonderful.

One thought: Gambling addiciton takes away so much from us materially, emotionally, physically and spiritually; Recovery on the other hand gifts us the ability to appreciate the simple things in life which we take for granted.

Well done on reaching 170 days! I wish you and your family the best that recovery can offer.

Morning Deano, hope you have had a good week, It's great to hear your doing the gym as a family, and I agree kids today sit in front of the tv and play games far too long, not healthy for them. Bathroom update, all new pipe work in now, new ceiling and we have bought the shower, slowly but surely getting there. I may have to try paying him it may get done a bit faster lol I'm still have the urges to smoke even though it's been two years in March since I had a cigarette and I don't use those vape pipes, this has only really been this bad since I stopped gambling, very strange! Anyway have a good week, hope,you and yours are all well, be proud your days are really clocking up x

Six months bet free tomorrow.

I had a little read over my diary earlier this week. Just by reading it back I realise how far I've come. I don't think I was prepared to stop gambling altogether then. Maybe it was just hanging on. Life's changed a lot since then more so the last few week's.

I'm no longer a prisoner to my addiction. I'm living again and enjoying the rewards that come with being bet free. The thing that promised me happiness was the only thing standing in my way.

Since joining the forum I've learned a lot about myself and I've also improved my way of life.I've passed my driving test,quit smoking. Joined a gym. I got out most weekends. I no longer feel bad treating myself either.

Life is good.
