What's going on with this place ? I leave the front door open for a while , pop back on to send you my best and the doors guarded by e***n" Robot Catchers ". Do you know how many times it took me to beat them ? 362 ! it was like a scene from the Terminator . ! .

I had a mooch around and am a bit worried Loxxies got the hots for me , she dropped her " Batter dish " ( might be a Euphemism though ? ) and she thought of me and then she's gone and named her " Cockrell " after me as well , although that could mean something else as well tbh ? .LoL . ( Thanks Loxxie xx ) .

Also noticed what she'd said about your Gym workouts and how I'd extract the urine if I'd been here ? as if I'd do that mate ? .

The only thing that did come into my head was you looking a bit like Olivia newton John in her 80's " Lets get Physical video " with all the mirrors , leggings and sweatbands ! , I'm assuming you do have mirrors in your Gym and just incase you do , Loxxie and her poetry got me thinking of one of my Fav's . " Mirror Mirror on the wall , Who's the fairest of them all , Said the Mirror with a Grunt " Tis not you , you big fat C....t." . :))

I'm all good and still not gambling , no thoughts at all to be honest :)) . My Op's on 12 th April , so everythings a bit manic at the mo preparing for it and have 3 hospital appointments over the next fortnight , so lots to keep me busy then .

I'm so glad to see you in such a good place my old friend but it's no more than you deserve , youv'e worked through alot of Shi..te to get where you are but I alwayus had great faith that the penny would finally drop ( prob not the best choice of words , considering where we are ) but hey ho , thank's also for all the laughs and support youve given me along the way on the day's Iv'e struggled and for your continuing support to others on the forum :)) xx

It's an honour to share a platform with so many great people.

Gambling addiction is a lonely old disease, a disease that takes not only our money , it takes our self respect, it also takes us away from our special time with our families.gambling addiction doesn't only effect us it effects everyone around us. Our families suffer more than we do, their the ones who pick up the pieces time and time again whilst we hit them with broken promises of really changing this time. Yet they never doubt we'll get there some day . Gambling addiction works by telling you you're not good enough and it makes you believe that it holds the key to true happiness, with out it you're nothing. When in fact it's the only thing holding you back . A lot of people myself included at some point will lay the blame on the bookies the industry what ever, I like to call this addiction pointing the finger, addiction is like a naughty school boy it wasn't me sir it was him . Because you've been friends with the naughty school boy for so long you believe every lie he tells you.

The saying goes you're own worst enemy is yourself, and you have to be aware of your own bull sh@t

So 200 days ago today i relapsed for the 3rd time since I joined this site 18 months ago. I'd just about had enough and was considering giving up the battle and letting addiction win, I shut everything social media related down after explaining to the guys what I done another one of addictions hands (isolation) my good buddy Oldham who has been a great help sent me a text. I can't repeat most as there was lots of swears lol told me to get my @r*e back and face the music. And that I did the guys on the Facebook group and over here gave me a lot of support, they believed in me more than I believed in myself , that belief I carry forward today.

I'm a firm believer in paying it forward and that's why you'll probably see my name all over the place on various diaries.

So thank you to name a few bal,Loxxie,twinklyr,Alan,Oldham and all the Facebook guys to name a few and thanks to everyone who has posted to me or around the forum since I arrived.

I go to bed every night no matter what else happens knowing I made at least one right choice that day , and that was not to gamble

Realising now I should have saved this speech for the one year mark lol

Anyhow 200 is good 300 is better let's crack on

Cheers for the visit to my diary....Change yeah, I'm definitely changing the way I see things, not just gambling and how I ended up so addicted, but every aspect of my life and where I go from here. I still have my 'misery' days where I hate me but thankfully they are less and less as time goes on. I don't often post on the 'newcomers' forum probably because I just don't feel I'm in any position to advise anyone but I do read it daily....It reminds me just how hopeless we feel at the beginning, keeps the nightmare fresh in my thoughts.... change really is the deciding factor, nothing changes if nothing changes and changing ourselves is the biggest fight but oh so worth it....Yourself and others are proof of that!
