I set up a gambling block on RBS but managed to deposit still on other methods Luckily few sites take these methods I couldn’t access my PayPal. Might come as no surprise but every time I use these obscure sites I’ve so far not self excluded I lose more money. I started off winning but every time I get the urge now I’ve more and more and keep finding loopholes? Any tips?Â
Believe me it's possible to find plenty more loopholes. If you have a problem with gambling you can generally find a way around all blockers and restrictions. I found cutting up all my cards and only using cash for a few months was helpful.Â
I closed my paypal account. I have a Monzo card which blocks gambling transactions. I have a daily spending limit for shopping only
Hi , thank you for posting on the forum, please do come through to us on the helpline for any further gambling support.Â
You can live chat:Â https://www.gamcare.org.uk/
or call us on : tel: 08088020133
I would also suggest downloading some blocks such as GamBan which you can get for free through our helpline, and also signup for GamStop which is a free self exclusion service, both of these will block all access to online gambling sites and should avoid you finding any loopholes

Many thanks,Â

Hello SF and Welcome.
If you have any way to gamble your blocks are simply not good enough. The issue you need to face today is that you are looking for a way to gamble and the door is wide open
The addiction must be countered with the strongest measures like telling your family and starting to accept from the depths of your soul that it's an illness and you need serious help
I just want to make you think that you are writing in a way that comes off as casual....sports fan......tips....not fully self excluded. I'm not trying to be unkind. I care and understand the confusion. I spent ten months on here telling people I had taken their advice but didn't stop until I truly started to see the light.
That's because it's an addiction that alters minds and deluded me into thinking I had any control over it. It took over my mind.....I was out of my mind and the addiction illness had control.
It's a very strong and dangerous addiction. When you start self excluding properly you will realise that it's not hard or embarrassing. They are mugging you off for your money so you should feel proud to self exclude
Also you get your money protected. This is no silly game about a flutter....it will save your life. You should be living off an allowance and the bulk of your money should be with a family member for example.
If that sounds awkward or you think you are a grown man and not a baby...you have much to learn about this addiction and your born again moment
Best wishes from everyone on the forum
Humble yourself, don't be led by anger pal... and read the above post. He knows what he's talking about... trust me on that.

Think about this way, if someone came onto this site and posted the same message you did asking for the same help you did, in your current state of mind and rationale, would you be in a position, or able to offer the same level of insight and wisdom that joydivider has offered you? What would your advice be to them based on your current thinking, then juxtapose it with the advice that's just been offered to you...
From there, please then reflect on where you're at in this journey, where he's at, where you'd like to be on this journey and where you could get to if you trust in the wisdom of others who know and want to help.
Good luck, all the best, LOOK AFTER YOURSELF (humility)
It's all there written for you. Be grateful for that and use what you've been given ✊️
