Morning Mate,

I am no expert and am only on day 26 but already I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. If you can, give the Gamcare a call or get on the live chat and they might be able to steer you in the right direction for the first couple of days. I know it is so tough, I'd never done more than 5 days before this go so if I can feel positive about it, I hope you can too. Every journey starts with a single step, you've done that today. Onwards and upwards mate, wishing you the very best on this tough day.

Jam

Its may now i cant spend another year gambling.

I know what i can to do for Mays payday in two weeks. Hand the money over to my ma.

But after that i have no idea. Just put the passport and bank card in the bin and give up on life.

This is 13/14 years of gambling.

Missed out on my twenties. Never went out couldnt buy clothes.

Now in my 30 s are its the exact same. Except now no one asks me out.. Im wearing the clothes my ma bought me for xmas. if not for her i wouldnt own any clothes. And im always starving. Havent had a meal in so long.

No one talks to me at home. And in work i have to pretend everything is ok.

Hello Stopsnow,

Have you previously used the forum with screen names like Stephen2105? Are you still based in Ireland?

Please use your local GP and counselling services if you are feeling depressed and want therapeutic support for your recovery. You could also consider your local Samaritans and Gamblers Anonymous as additional sources of support.

Take care,

Forum admin.

Hi stopsnow , there is always a way out . There is a lot of people in the world in worst position than you. I reached a point in my life that I felt the same but I decided to love myself more and care for the ones who loved me specially my mum . You are an young man with a bright future ahead . Don’t let this destroy you , fight against with your heart and soul . There is a lot of help out there as well . Be strong ,be brave , be smart but above all love yourself . All the best to you and your family .
