I’m a recovering gambling addict. I know I can quit but I don’t know why I keep coming back and gamble again and again. Today will be my last. I lost $. Whenever I’m out of money because of gambling, that’s when I realized that I made a stupid stupid mistake.
I just want to get better. Nobody knows what I’m going through. Nobody in my family. I’m struggling alone because I’m very ashamed of my gambling problem.
My mental health has been affected, I get sick with this addiction and I just want to stop. I’m out of money already and I have a 6 months old son. I don’t want my family to know what I’m going through that’s why I want to share my story to you strangers who are also dealing with the same problem.
Let’s all get better and beat this addiction. Let’s all hope and pray for our recovery.

I really think you should speak to someone in your family about it and start opening up. It will be difficult but you have been brave enough to admit the problem in the first place. You can do it!!!
Talking to them will help and they will hopefully help you to put strategies in place to stop.
