Fella thanks for popping by my friend

Yes seasick is a real talent,I followed him since I saw him on the jools holland show in 2007

Funny how the lyrics had a very different meaning then.

Hey Ryan,

Firstly thank you so much for your ongoing support., really appreciated.

So a bit of boxing you do. That is awesome and yep i fully understand the aching bones..this will pass too 🙂 it is a good way to get rid of any anger or frustrations out if you have any. Using physical energy can relax your mind also.

really good to see you marching on and kicking this habit in the teeth.

Stay safe my friend, keep positive and determined. ..progress is surely being made. My gloves are on and am fighting alongside you.

Have a good day and go for a few knockouts on training session 😛

340 days under my belt, and I have to be honest there have been a few temptation nudges recently. Nothing really serious, and nothing that even caused me to log on to see what the online world had to offer, but just thoughts that stuck around a little longer than normal.

Don't really have time for gambling in my life right now, so many things happening, and so many things to finish before I finally get to my annual leave in a few weeks time. Muscles feeling tired and drained again, its kind of strange but I tend to feel the cold more than I do when I'm not exercising regularly. Three and a half weeks until my next beer is how I'm looking at it!

Hope everyone is finding the right path,

Ryan

Hi Ryan and well done on your gambling free time. Its like you say keeping busy doesn't half help in keeping gambling away. Idle time, idle mind often leads to trouble. I think that's what happened to me. I got bored when I was away and then eventually I succumbed to the gremlins.

Interesting what you say about exercise and feeling cold. When I come back from a long run an hour or so later I am freezing and have to wrap up in several layers irrespective of the weather. I guess its the physiological processes of recovery going on. I shall let ya know how I get on in the marathon. Thanks for your support mate.. S.A

Ryan

Fella glad to read you are enjoying gifting yourself the opportunity to continue living a gamble free life.

The boxing sounds like a blast,I would love to have a go at it,even have a contestant I would like to share a round or two with lol!!

Do you think you will carry on training once you have had you bout or be done with it??

Funny how you have been feeling the cold after training, I never felt the cold at all in my life until the last couple of years, nowadays I pack my shorts away for the winter months, were for as long as I can remember I had worn them all year round whatever the weather much to the disgust of my good lady wife lol!!

Old age I guess,it comes to us all.

Hope you are enjoying the start of the football season,my youngest said Pompey got kicked off the park yesterday!!

By the Welsh I might add!!! lol

Keep making the right choice fella

Hi guys,

Thanks for your support as always, just finished a second punishing boxing fitness of the weekend, and I think the cold thing may have just been a one off for the first couple of days, maybe a physical reaction to going from next to no exercise to fairly intense exercise almost every day. I'm already seeing the difference, pounds are dropping off me, but my coach wants me to stop eating bread. I love bread. Chest, shoulders and arms all aching too, but its a really good work out. Duncan, its definitely something I'll consider, but I've always been the kind of guy who can work and train towards a specific goal, but without that goal to motivate me it drops off pretty quickly.

Football season has been good so far....switched on the Chelsea game last night, I'd already missed two goals and I was just five minutes late! I love wearing shorts too, even though the pasty white legs aren't really worth sharing! Looks like Big Sam promised the West Ham board they'd finish ahead of Man Utd this year. No great shakes there!

A few football based temptations with regards to gambling, but nothing that has really been more than a quick thought that is mercilessly stamped out.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend,

Ryan

Still on the right track and finding my own path to being gamble free, and I must be honest the thoughts of gambling have been dwindling over the last couple of days. Filling up my life with other stuff is certainly working, and between a hectic work and training schedule and trying to keep on top of my freelance work too, I have no shortage of things to fill up my days.

Just over two weeks until my charity boxing fight, and then another two days after that until I hit a year gamble free...again. I'm not sure if I'm in a better place than I was when I reached that milestone before, but being older definitely makes me a little more experienced. I've now passed the one stone mark when it comes to weight lost through boxing training, if I can lose another stone before the fight I'll be very happy.

Hope everyone's having a reasonable week so far, downhill to the weekend.

Ryan
